Most definitely the AM hours in my opinion are the best times to play cash games. I think the field is much more tranquile at those times.

I'm not sure about Cash games since I don't usually play them. But for me the best time to play MTT's are in the mornings/afternoon.
My mind is fresh during the whole tournament.

I've been playing cash games for several years and I can say with certainty that it's best to play on Friday and Saturday nights. Because there are a lot of players who just want to relax after a working week and in most cases money is not the main thing for them, and these players can also play while drunk, which also improves your chances of winning more money. And if I play on weekdays, I usually play in the morning.

I'm only on Party and Pokerstars, can vouch for Friday nights European time being wild sometimes on Stars. It's mostly Europeans and Brazilians.

Doesn't GG have more Asian players as a percentage of players compared to Stars? So their night would be my afternoon, and morning in the Americas. Probably games round the clock on there with a mix of all kinds of players.

Be sure to note players who just respond with 'daytime early'... or 'night', without specifying from where. These will be the players you win from.
Also, different sites are busier at different times of the day.

In my opinion i like to split it for one session in the afternoon and one session later after 8pm till 01am. In the first session i play more freerolls, satellites and later cash games and Mtt´s.

...... I think it's great you have all those sites available to you but this guy is from San Diego, California. He's not playing on any of those sites you mentioned.... world time zones mean nothing when you can't even play

Good morning everyone, in my opinion, playing at night is calmer.
I live in BRAZIL, when it's 7pm, in my opinion, that's when it's calmer to play, as many people who work when they get home go play cash games and in the morning and afternoon there are more regular players and teams.
I see a lot of similar comments, the curious thing is that when it's night in Brazil it's day in many other countries, so where does our impression come from that certain times are easier to play.
I believe it's just the game's variance that creates this impression.

I look at where the others at the table are from if the sites have that feature. I will tend to play against those who are playing evening/nighttime in their country.

It used to be late evening/night American time.

Now it doesn't matter that much - but the traffic is usually highest from European evenings to American night.

So easier to table select during the above half of the day.

Deffo early in the morning at 1am particularly on a Friday or Saturday night.

Few lose players on those days and at those times but the bad beats are worse.

Run up a buy in on cash 10x in 20 mins before.

All games tend to be softer, when people are not working, because then more recreational players have time to play. So it will depend on, which time zone you are in, and which time zones most of the player pool is in. On PokerStars the european afternoon hours tend to be the worst time to play, at least in my experience / opinion. But with cash games, should always table select, and this is far more important than playing at certain times. If you cant find good tables after multible attemts, thats usually a sign to end the session. If you play Zoom style tables, then look at number of players per flop and try to play, when its high.
