All legitimate reasons. Going to play a certain game is definitely many people's reason, and some also go to watch sport events.

Simple
A reason to go to a casino shouldn’t just be the games. Good food, good atmosphere, and an experience worth showing up for still matter.
More pointed
There used to be real reasons to go to a casino great food, atmosphere, something memorable. Now it feels like that part got forgotten.
Casual
A reason to go to a casino? For me, it used to be the food and the experience, not just the tables.
Want it more bold or more neutral?

I like that casual response. The experience especially.
But why are you saying: "It used to be"? You have different reasons now?

Ah, I understand why that can be confusing! When I say "It used to be like that," I'm usually referring to something that has changed over time, such as a rule, a widespread belief, or a fact that was once true but is no longer so. It doesn't mean I personally have "different reasons" now; it simply indicates that the situation or explanation has evolved.

That, I understand very well. Time, combined with the knowledge we keep acquiring have certainly a lot to do with our "changes".

Whether you've been to casinos or not, what are some reasons that would attract you to go besides your favorite game?
the one reason for me to go to the casino is to make money.
i would go to leave some stress behind but only if i don't lose.

I would go for the atmosphere, see people's reactions, and observe their behavior! I am curious about human behavior, and I always listen to jazz music in movies where there are casinos, and that would attract me too! Good luck, Sami!

Great question, besides poker, if I have a lot of money to burn, I would play a few slots XD
But only if I'am very rich and have nothing to do XD
God bless

I would think the prospect of winning can make a lot of people want to go to a casino, but the possibility of winning exists even home (Online).
What are some other reasons that could attract you to visit a casino, even if you don't play?

Lights and buzzers! That could be attractive for sure.
But why have you promised yourself not to ever go? Any bad experience? Or just some "Hidden fear" of losing? (You don't have to answer ofc).

Great reply as always Diva. Artist, philosopher, and now mixing in some psychology too, I love it.
As to the music, there's certainly no shortage. Depending on what parts of the casino you want to be, you'd listen to different genres too.

Thanks, Sami! And I also mention the visual aspect of casinos, works of art scattered throughout the environments! That's always something I appreciate! A happy and lucky 2026 to you and your family!

True. I've seen some very serious pieces of art on casino's walls too, especially in smaller/private rooms.
Happy new year to you too and all yours 🍷.

Oh no — I might babble for a moment 😄
My Nana was an avid gambler. I mean that literally — she would break bones and, instead of going to the doctor, figure out how to accommodate herself so she could keep playing… and ice it later. That level of devotion scared me, honestly 💗
I’m also Canadian because of a poker game (which is how the coolest part of my family ended up here 😄). So there’s a long line of gamblers in my family — people who would move thousands of miles, scoff at doctors, and trust the cards.
Knowing that history, it just made sense to me to stay away from casinos.

I've always been interested in raffles and games, whether they involve luck or not! After I got married, my husband and I played a lot with our son and held video game and poker tournaments at our house, a kind of “home casino,” but ONLY for fun! LOL!! We don't have legal casinos in Brazil, so I've never been to one, but my husband's father used to own a casino. We bet on the lottery sometimes, and that's the only money we spend on gambling. Good luck to you, Billi, and to all gamblers and non-gamblers alike here!

Enough to scare you off I have to say. But you are you, and you can even use those experiences to your advantage by choosing moderation.
Besides, last time I checked, you could "feel it" 🤪🤣.

One reason for me to go to spezific Casino, especially to the poker section, would be a very comfortable chairs. In my opinion this is very important if you play for a longer time.

I can promise you that all casinos have comfortable chairs in the poker room.
Any other reasons that could make you visit a casino?

There are many casinos all over the world and i can guarantee u that a huge percentage has no comfortable chairs. But im pretty picky on that one so there are maybe chairs in certain places u would perceive as comfortable while i dont.

Another reason to visit could be hyper turbo poker tournaments. If the place is near me 😅

So did your Nana win or loose the hand that you ended up here in Canada Billi?

Naji, I just go to the casino for poker tournaments, I don t like the slots, I play twenty dollars sometimes when i am waiting for a tournament to start, but it is just to kill time while i wait.
