It doesn't say that anywhere in the OP. It only says that you have no more funds online and you found yourself sitting in front of a slot machine for a while, that is next to the one your friend is playing on. You got tempted and you played, that's all.

You're right, a poker player shouldn't even approach a slot machine. But in this situation, we're talking about someone who plays poker online and only found himself/herself in the casino by a chance. People have the right to have $50 in their pocket. $50 that has nothing to do with poker.

It's not my money it really doesn't matter to me what you do. If this is a rhetorical question then I answered the question,

"A friend invited you to go to a casino with him and you did, just out of curiosity, not to play anything. But after sitting next to him and watching him spin and spin at this slot machine, you got tempted and you pulled the only $50 you had out of your pocket. A minute later, it was inside the machine in front of you and you were spinning too"

That doesn't sound like someone who found their way into the casino by chance it sounds like someone who can't control their actions when stimulating sights and sounds are put in front of them and I wouldn't recommend them taking any form of gambling seriously.

Anyway I guess I would just say OP made the right decision because that's what OP did what he wanted with the $50

slots is a fools game, if you ever find yourself up playing slots then take it and run as soon as possible.

$200 is not a bad starting poker bankroll, you can get plenty playing time out of it and in my opinion, much more fun than slots.

That's right Martt. You can play a lot of poker with $200. And if you are a decent player, with some discipline, you can even build a huge BR with it.

If that $200 is used wisely, in some small buy-in MTTs or micro stakes, and with some volume, patience and discipline, it could certainly grow into a more comfortable BR.

Haha, that's another way to look at it, but not for me. I've done that many times with play money in the CC promotions and most of the time, the return is less than the investment.

Totally agree. You can play plenty of poker with that amount.

You can improve quite nicely from $200. So I would definitely take the money out, chances are you would spend your money in the casino anyway, so it's better to 'invest' it and play poker with it.

I would prefer to invest in something more secure, but I prefer poker, because experience and knowledge matter in poker, regardless of the fact that I consider it a game of chance.

They have built some of the most beautiful hotel/casinos in Las Vegas and all around the world primarily from slots…it’s the biggest money maker for most casinos…Fallsview Hotel/casino in Niagara Falls got rid of their poker room and replaced it with many slots and a few tables. I spoke to the General Manager of the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas…he told me that poker was a losing game for them, but they made more money from the spouse, friends or partner spending time at the slots…that might give you an idea of where to spend your entertainment dollars.

For me 200$ is good bankroll for poker , I play very small stakes , micros or nanos , I might play a higher stakes or buy in game if I win a ticket for free or cheap via a satellite. Most of the times my bankroll is between100$ and 300$ .

If I won 200$ with a 50$ initial deposit ? It depends on the| mood . Most times I would stop . But sometimes I might[ go for more . If I see that the slot has stopped paying , then I stop
