So, staying where you are till he/she'd come back is probably a wiser decision, but refrain from playing or take pauses, and if you play, bet the minimum.
That is pretty much what I'm saying. Your question reminded me of an anecdote in
The World's Greatest Blackjack Book by Lance Humble and Carl Cooper. I probably don't remember the exact story but this is the gist of it.
A group of men were playing at a blackjack table where a young woman was dealing from a single deck. They were all making fun of her chest which, in the authors' words, was flat as an ironing board. It didn't take too long for the embarrassed woman to become tired of their insulting jokes. She kept her cool, but on the next hand she dealt herself a blackjack. After pulling in their chips she dealt the next hand. It was a blackjack, as was her next hand, and the next, and the next... until the men decided that it was time to leave.
People who deal and shuffle cards for a living often become very adept at manipulating the deck. If they take a liking to you they might throw some your way, if they don't like you they might give you the same sort of treatment that the men in that story received.

If that is what your dealer was doing then you wouldn't want to draw attention to her and yourself by only playing when or where she was dealing. Also make sure to tip by making a bet for her.
