Not that I know much about those machines, but since it will be installed in my house, I think I'll be able to manipulate it or at least I would have the keys to its money box, therefore it wouldn't matter what kind it is.

I’d go for a classic-style slot with simple mechanics, something like a 3-reel fruit machine.

Way less noisy and flashy than modern video slots, but still gives that satisfying spin-and-win feel. Plus, easier to understand and doesn’t feel like it’s constantly trying to drain your wallet every 10 seconds 😄

I think it's book of ra. High variance brings big wins, but winning combinations are rare. Low variance is the opposite—you can count on small wins, but winning combinations will appear frequently.
