I think it's superstition. All slot machines are configured to give a certain percentage of money back to players, and I think it all depends solely on this setting. The time of day or day of the week doesn't matter at all

New slots usually tend to give (slightly) more cash aswell cause if they didnt then people probably wouldnt try new games out that much ...
The same probably applies to old (forgotten) slots which basically no-one plays anymore ...

Also it's never wrong to test out seasonal slots like christmas ones in the middle of summer ...

Old, new - when I walk in I feel like I'm lost in a big, bright, glittery sea of slot machines. I mostly get attracted to the ones that are making a lot of noise (Big Win, Mega Win, etc.)

It's like a lucky mascot, you can believe in it or not. Personally, I don't believe in it. But I also have my own rules about playing slots. For example, when I win free spins, I restart my smartphone. I believe that this will bring me more money in casino slots.

I think that choosing the right time is not as important as choosing the right slot machine
If there were some pattern regarding the most promising time to play, then the casino would be packed at those times, and empty at other, ‘less promising’ times.

I think it's better to play at night when, for obvious reasons, there are fewer customers in the casino. I think that when there are fewer players overall, you personally have a better chance of getting a good combination. Perhaps this is primitive and does not really change anything, but if I had the opportunity to choose when to play, I would prefer to play at night.

Today I came across someone saying that certain slots “hit” more at specific times of the day.
I’ve heard similar things before, like:

• Machines paying more at night.
• Casinos loosening slots on weekends.
• Certain hours being “lucky” for jackpots.

Personally, I don’t buy it since slots run on RNGs, but it’s definitely one of the more common casino myths.

It is superstition - they don't pay out more often based on time of day.
