Smoking in casinos...🚭

That's a little too extreme, don't you think?
Of course I would agree with you if we were talking about homes or any other establishments, but casinos? People go there to spend their money and have fun. You cannot restrict their freedom as long as they're only smoking in designated areas.

Casino's are private property, they can restrict whatever they want on their private property, just like they can restrict card counters. Govt regulations prohibit smoking in casino's in Australia, and it's not just casino's, it's basically at any indoor venue.

The casinos I go to in Minnesota U. S. A. got rid of smoking a decade ago. Even the Mall Of America got rid of smoking and it decimated the nightlife businesses.

Yes, there must be a smoking area in suitable locations. Non-smokers don't have to experience this or become passive smokers because of active ones. Unfortunately, even knowing that smoking is bad for your health, it's still difficult to deal with it. But everyone has their thoughts and does what they want with their lives.

Not only cigarettes, other elements that are also harmful to your health, including food. Some foods are bad for your health and yet they are still being eaten!

Anyway, it's a matter of conscience.

I don't smoke cigarettes because I don't see any point in it other than damaging my health. So I completely agree with Daniel Negreanu, I would also cover my face. As for allowing for players who smoke, I think casinos could offer them separate gaming rooms where they can smoke.

The argument that players love to smoke and won't play if smoking is prohibited simply doesn't hold water.Ban smoking in all casinos.Smokers have adapted to bans in restaurants and bars. They will also adapt to bans in casinos.

That sounds good, but might work out poorly for the casino. If a slots or tables player goes outside to smoke, the casino will not have a chance at their money for at least fifteen minutes. If the casino is on the Vegas strip, or another locale with casinos in close proximity to each other, the players may decide to go elsewhere once they've had their smoke. In that case the casino won't have any more chance at their money.

I smoke, so cigarette smoke doesn't bother me. In fact, I feel uncomfortable if smoking is prohibited in a casino, and I don't go to such casinos. In my opinion, casinos should offer rooms for customers to choose from, for smokers and non-smokers.

That was a very good decision by you to quit smoking I congratulate you for this. Me personally I don't like to be around cigarette smoke ever.

Switch to weed , the happy healthy smoke ! It's not noxious, and it actually helps you breath better.
Cannabis is a vaso-dialator. The opposite of tobacco which is a vaso-constrictor.
All you guys with breathing and lung issues ought to try it .
I smoked tobacco for decades. Now I can't stand it anymore either.

I don't smoke, and I don't like it when people smoke around me. And although I only play online and no one smokes at my house, I can definitely say that I would prefer a non-smoking room. If I had no choice, I would simply refuse to play.

Yeah, I totally get that - those indoor smoking rooms always feel more like punishment than convenience. At times like this, I hate myself for smoking.

No idea if its still there but there was one exception I experienced. It was at Hamburg airport. There is a "Lucky Strike Smoker Lounge"
Where you could smoke in air filtered atmosphere and you even could order drinks lol.
But that was over 10 years ago I doubt it still exists 😅

There are always different rules for the rich.
I experienced it myself also.
Best friend's father is pilot for Lufthansa and his son gets a lot of blanco flight tickets 😅
So business class cost us only 180€ upgrade 😁

I think that I would enjoy more when I was 18/19/20 then now...lol
With years we get was is more important, but, sometimes like any other woman I love queen "status" (I'm just a girl lol)

I smoke myself. But I try to smoke only where it is allowed. If I play in a non-smoking room, I will not smoke either. I am willing to consciously harm my health, but I am not willing to harm others. In my opinion, gaming rooms should be divided into smoking and non-smoking areas.

Wouldn't it also be a disaster for a smoker to spend a lot of time without smoking? Smokers too spend their money to have fun.
I'm not saying casinos should allow smoking everywhere. But I think designated areas are fair for everyone.

Problem with second hand smoke is it doesn't kill reliably.

Seems to me every time they ban smoking, businesses lose money. They started with bars, known smoking places. Our city at the time banned it and we lost 10 of 13 bars due to lack of business. Now casinos make a boat load of money and can install smoke filtration systems to accommodate everyone. At the very least, they could have smoking and non smoking sections.

I smoke, and I like to play where I can smoke without restrictions. I currently play mainly online at home, and I smoke at home. But I fully understand that there are players who don't smoke and who don't want to breathe smoke, which is completely understandable and normal. Therefore, in my opinion, live casinos should have rooms for both types of players.

Smoking is bad for your health & that of people around is a fact.
Do you think the no-smoking rule should be extended to the entire casino area? SURE!
Would it affect the number of people who come to play? YES!
There would be more spectators hanging around and less smokers gambling away money.
Is it good for business? NO. If it is profitable, casinos would have banned smoking at the drop of a hat.

Well, as a non-smoker I support ban of smoking in all public places including casinos. And even had some conflicts with strangers on this problem in the past.
