You went to a casino with no cash, so you withdrew some money from an ATM and played a poker tournament in which you made the money.

Now you have about 3 times the amount you started the day with, and you got tempted by a nice Slot machine you saw on your way out. Sure enough, you sat and played for a couple of hours, but ended up losing most of what you had, then you went to a blackjack table hoping to get even, only to lose everything.

Without giving it any thought, you went straight back to the ATM, but you couldn't get any money as you had exceeded your daily limit.

It was around 10pm, would you hang around till midnight to be able to withdraw or just go home?

No way - go home!

I would have taken my original stake, plus some extra and put it in my wallet/purse, and then use the "bonus" cash to play a little more. When that's gone, it's gone.

Most people are not as wise as you are Tammy. I bet 60 to 70% would stay hoping to get their money back.

Got to have discipline and stay within your budget.

The longer you stay, the more likely you will lose even more money.

So, you mean you would leave. Which is the best option except for emotional (tilted) or degenerate gamblers.

No No No, obviously, time to go home!

Don't come back until you have been cleaned of all that "negativity". TILT is not a good place to be.

Personally I would hope I’d never get in that situation and be able to have a reasonable stop loss to protect my profitable poker win. But I do appreciate the strong pull and desire to chase your losses. Since I can barely stay awake past 10pm, I would head home!

I would never spend any serious amount of money on slots,

...I get bored after 5 minutes no way I could play that for hours,

but ok let's pretend.... I would stay... not to get money but because who

goes home at 10 pm???, ....you're in a casino the nights just getting started 😅🎉

I’d definitely go home.
Once emotions take over, every decision you make at the table (or the casino in general) tends to go downhill.
The best thing in that moment is to stop, cool off, and come back with a clear head.
Chasing losses never ends well — poker teaches that lesson the hard way.

10pm is too early to go home. Can't also be waiting for midnight to be able to withdraw. But do you know that you can cash-out from the cashier with your credit card? The casino can't have you without access to funds, can they?:ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO:

Should this happen then there's only one logical thing to do - get rid of your daily limit for good (or increase it by 10 times or so instead)

If I have an absolute 😱 0 😱 in my pocket, I'm definitely going home.
But... when I get home, maybe (not certain) I can make a really crazy decision when you're milked like an innocent 🐄, take a stash from home and...
And then come what happens.
Human vices can play tricks on us.

I think I would have gone home much earlier, namely at the moment when I had three times more money than at the beginning of the day :)
And I definitely wouldn't have sat down to play the slot machine located at the exit. I never play slot machines that are near the exit.

Me personally I would definitely go home after such a big loss and not wait until I would be able to reload. But I probably won't be in this situation anyway.

That would've been the best scenario of course.
