Digital is rising, traditional is expanding, and laws are tightening. Players gain options but lose freedoms. BetWhale has launched instant payments and big bonuses, becoming one of the safest online casinos for U.S. players. Accel Entertainment expanded its presence in Nevada by acquiring Dynasty Games, adding over 120 gaming terminals in Sept.2025. Palms Casino in Las Vegas changed its blackjack rules, offering better odds for players ,it was introduced in November 2025, as a marketing strategy to attract more players.New York has voted to grant three new casino licenses, which could transform the NYC market:
Bally’s Bronx Casino
Hard Rock Metropolitan Park (Queens)
Resorts World New York City (Queens)

What do you think?

I don't think this applies to me in any way. I only play at casinos with money I win playing poker. I don't spend my own money, and I don't plan on starting to :)

most casino games are simply a tax on the players...this is why poker is different...its the only game that gives you a realistic chance not dependent on random chance.
more casinos are a sign of economic woes

I am currently only interested in online poker and online casinos, and I must say that the trend in recent years indicates a certain decline in this area, especially when it comes to poker. A few years ago, everything was much more fun, there were many accessible sites, many freerolls, but now everything is very modest, unfortunately. And I think there is no reason to believe that the situation will improve. The main thing is that it doesn't get worse.

You made a strong point. Most casino games are essentially designed as a “tax” on players, where the odds of winning are minimal and entirely dependent on luck. Poker, however, stands out because it provides a realistic chance based on skill, strategy, and psychology rather than pure chance. And the rise of more casinos can indeed be seen as a sign of economic troubles, where people turn to quick fixes or illusory hopes.

I completely understand what you mean. I’ve noticed the same shift compared to past years: fewer sites, fewer free opportunities, and less excitement in the community. Unfortunately, the decline seems clear, and there aren’t many reasons to expect improvement. Still, you’re right the main thing is that it doesn’t get worse and at least stays at a manageable level.

I completely get your point. If you only enter casinos with money won from poker, you’re not risking your own capital and you keep full control over your play. It’s a disciplined and healthy approach, especially since you don’t plan on spending personal money.

I think if, for example, it's a cactus or rubber tree, it's not like yesterday, but maybe Zuckerberg will change his mind, and that's why it rained heavily yesterday, even though Trump is behaving as usual.

I like how you mixed cactus, rain, and politics. Maybe that’s the metaphor: casino expansion is just as unpredictable as the weather. But coming back to casinos, how do you see this expansion: an opportunity or a sign of crisis?

In my opinion, online casinos will continue to grow in scale and popularity. As for live casinos, the situation here depends heavily on the market of each specific country and the policies pursued there. In Ukraine, online casinos are growing every year and becoming more popular, despite the rather strict licensing conditions.
