Some sites have your funds in what they call "Wallet", from which they let you take a specific amount (Your decision) to the casino when you open it, but some others consider all your funds as a balance and automatically transfer all of it to the casino if you decide to go there.

Which of those two do you prefer, and why?

I prefer the wallet system. It gives more control and feels safer, you decide how much to take to the tables instead of risking your whole balance automatically.

I prefer the shared balance — it’s more convenient and faster to react to situations. For example, if you want to quickly place a live sports bet, having your money in a wallet means you’d have to transfer it first. But with a shared balance, everything happens instantly, which is crucial when there are only seconds left before the bet closes.

It doesn't matter to me. If I want to play at a casino, it will be my decision, and I will spend my own money. And if, for example, I only play poker, it doesn't matter to me that the money I have set aside for poker can also be spent on slots, roulette, ice cream or a jacket. Money is a universal tool.

You are right ofc, but the topic here is related to gambling. Many times, I've read that deciding in advance on a certain affordable amount to be eventually lost is a way of staying out of trouble. That's why I came up with this thread where the Wallet option could serve that purpose.

Obviously, the balance does not require any additional actions. Therefore, in this situation, the balance is probably more convenient. But at the same time, it does not really matter. The main thing is that you are a disciplined and patient player, and then the money in your wallet or on your balance will grow :)

For me this doesn't matter really as I have full control over my game selection and how much money I use. I know this from betonline by the way.

I don't think this matters that much on casino side. Taking everything you got to a no limit cash table would be a different story.
But it is certainly easier to lose more even on a casino site if one has the "convenience" of having all the funds just a click away.

It wouldn't matter at all with someone experienced and disciplined.
But novice or addicts, if they lose the amount they had taken to the casino, they would have to go back to their wallet and bring in more money, not just keeping at it. So maybe, only maybe that little pause could save them. Certainly not all of them, but hopefully some.

It is more convenient when money is available and can always be easily spent on whatever you want. Money in your wallet requires additional manipulations and transfers, which is a waste of time. Therefore, money that is on your balance and available at any time for playing is probably a more convenient option.

Convenient, yes, but not for everyone I would say.

If you are an experienced and disciplined player, then it's fine, but for novices and especially addicts, those extra manipulations and transfers you talked about could probably discourage at least a few players from getting more money to chase their losses. I know it's not going to save the world, but just some "victims", hopefully.

I don't like making additional transactions because I just don't see the point in them. I don't understand why I need to do this. For example, today I made a transfer from my poker account to my sports betting account, and although it doesn't take much time, in my opinion it's just an extra and, most importantly, unnecessary hassle.

For me, the main thing is that my money is safe. Whether it's a balance or a wallet isn't that important. To transfer a few dollars to the casino balance, you only need to make a few clicks, it's not difficult, so I don't see much difference.

That makes things very simple and insinuates that you're responsible and know what you're doing. No problem then.

Balance is more convenient, simpler and more accessible. I don't see any need for wallets in general.

As I said above, they could (maybe, and only maybe) save a small number of novices or addicts. The extra manipulations might discourage a few or make them change their mind (Hopefully).
