Tavelli Doubles through Akenhead
Maybe James Akenhead would have been better served to show up fifteen minutes late insted of just three minutes late. He opened a pot to 260,000, then called when Ian Tavelli re-raised to 750,000. On a queen-high flop,
Qh.gif
5h.gif
7c.gif
, Akenhead checked to Tavelli. Tavelli made it 1.5 million to go and then snap-called when Akenhead moved all in. Akenhead:

Tavelli:

Ad.gif
Akenhead found himself coolered less than fifteen minutes into the day. No help on the turn
6d.gif
or river
7h.gif
for him. He had to pay off 4.305 million to Tavelli, leaving himself with just 2.8 million. Tavelli is up to about 10 million.

Leo Margets Eliminated in 27th Place ($352,832)

There will not be a woman at the final table of the Main Event this year. After Warren Zackey opened the pot to 350,000 preflop, Leo Margets put all of her chips at risk and shoved all in.

Zackey called with
ah.gif
10h.gif
and found himself in a dominating position against Margets'
as.gif
7h.gif
. Margets was left looking for running cards after a flop of
4c.gif
8d.gif
10s.gif
. She didn't get them. The turn and river fell
4h.gif
and
2c.gif
to make her the first eliminated player of the day.

Esfandiari Flop Raise Stops Kopp

Billy Kopp opened with a raise to 300,000 from the hijack seat, Antonio Esfandiari called from the button, and the blinds got out.

The flop came
6d.gif
9h.gif
qd.gif
. Kopp continued with a bet of 500,000. Esfandiari paused about a half-minute, then slid out two tall stacks of green chips, a bet of 1.9 million total.

Kopp contemplated for another half-minute as Esfandiari looked in his direction. Finally Kopp folded.

Esfandiari chips up to 5.45 million, while Kopp is still in second place with 14.95 million.

Jesse Haabak Eliminated in 26th Place ($352,832)

Action folded around to Jesse Haabak. He open-shoved his diminished stack. Warren Zackey was sitting with the button, looked down at
ac.gif
kd.gif
, and made an easy call. Haabak showed down two live cards,
qh.gif
9h.gif
, that were significantly less live after a flop of
10s.gif
kh.gif
as.gif
. Haabak needed a jack or running trips. He was booted to the rail in 26th place when he got neither, bricking the turn
5d.gif
and river
3h.gif
.

As a result of that pot and a few other small pots, Zackey has more than 10 million chips.

Cada checked the

. Kopp led with a bet of 700,000, then Balmigere pushed all in for 2.785 million total. Begleiter folded, and Kopp went into the tank.

After a minute, Kopp counted out the chips needed to call and stacked them in a single column. Finally he picked up the stack and set it down before him with a thump. The players' cards were revealed:

Dangerous Board Ahead

The cards aren't showing up in your updates (for those of us whose work blocks poker sites), because your copy/paste is trying to reference them straight off the pokernews site. So your friend isn't seeing any of them. You need to edit them all manually when you paste.
