There are all different kinds of scams and scammers just like in other areas of your life. Do what is obvious to avoid being scammed, always stay alert and don't do dumb things.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of scammers in poker, as in other areas of activity. You need to play on trusted sites and download only proven programs. You do not need to trust your personal data to third parties. And do not try to look for profit when withdrawing funds or deposits to some room. You can be left not only without the money that you have on the site, but also the money that you have in general.

It seems to me that there will always be a certain percentage of unscrupulous players in online poker. I've seen people take pride in having bots playing instead of them that don't make mistakes from a mathematical point of view.
poker sites are fighting them, but scammers are coming up with new methods. It's an endless arms race. Casual players need to deal with this.

In the world of poker it is so diversified for many in the world, everyone can play no matter the pain, Race, Religion or Beliefs, it has been heard a lot in making it mental game, in BRAZIL they already do it, give your opinion what poker means for you and what would you recommend to stop the scammers of this beautiful game?
There are only a few ways to scam online players. I've heard once of a software written program, written by those who worked on the software at the site, that revealed players hold cards. This happened before Black Friday, and now at least at the sites certified to operate in the US, these sites are much better regulated. I currently play on a site where all players are anonymous, so HUDs are worthless. There can be collusion, two or more players talking over the phone who get into the same game and share information, maybe even one with a big stack passing chips to their partner who has a short stack. Or a single player with two separate accounts getting into the same game with both accounts. On most sites you can search through hand histories to look for such a thing, and to see if someone was pumping up the stack for someone else, but I don't bother with it. My main money-making game is triple-up no limit hold'em SNGs. Since the payout is split evenly three ways, then someone colluding in the game could very well benefit me. That's how I keep the scammers at bay.

Play in a casino that takes security and cheating serious. If you're playing online then be aware that these folks have at a bare minimum HUDS that tell your opponents your habits in game. They can look up your record to see if you're a winning player online and they'll probably be looking at cheat sheets whether its for preflop or when to shove for example.

I mean the list goes on and on with the aides easily available to online players to the point where it doesn't even seem like poker.
The use of huds should not be allowed, I am very against it.

Too many bots online alright. I met a shameless person one night who seemed to be proud of doing it.

Did you report them?

Online poker is full of scary stories of cheating. Perhaps the most striking of them is the story with closed cards, which, thanks to special software, were visible to scammers. Moreover, not ordinary players acted as the latter, but the leaders of the online poker room UltimateBet. It is impossible to exclude the possibility that even now there is a similar software for poker, which allows you to view the pocket cards of players. To protect yourself from this type of poker scam, get a good anti-virus program and do not receive files from strangers and dubious individuals, use only licensed programs.
