Do you consider Poker a sport?

I don't consider poker to be a sport, as my definition of a sport requires that there be some form of physical activity during practice. I feel like many people don't consider any other card or table games to be sports, but due to the popularity of poker, it only seems to be a sport in that capacity. Although I definitely say no. As much as I love poker, I don't think that means I can compete with players like Tom Brady, LeBron James or Usain Bolt.

While I don't necessarily agree with the ruling of chess being a sport, I would argue that chess uses much more mental capacity than poker at the highest level, which allows me to understand why chess is deemed a sport. I do feel like chess is the one outlier of all the table games.

For me personally, poker is a sport, and like chess, eSports. there are a lot of people playing poker, here it is considered a mind sport, depending on whether some skill, awareness is needed.

Not a sport but pretty damn close...Basketball has transformed to the 3 pointer based off of percentages. And football, running the ball on first down sets up a much higher percentage of getting a first down even if it only gets 2-3 yards, plus it wears down the defense (think long game like in poker). Other sports play percentages just like poker, and yet the most skilled player who plays those percentages the best wins over time. So are we discussing sports as strictly physical or can we see the similarities---skill playing the percentages.
