Do you drink alcohol when you play poker?

I have occasionally drunk when I play. but it doesn't interfere with my playing style. I always try to keep my plays and the hands I play. I always play exactly the same hands and in the same way. exceptions are when I have a lot of chips. I try to make my concentration the same with and without alcohol.

I don't drink while playing and not at any time.
I like to listen to music and I am not distracted by noises around me. My husband also plays poker and he likes to drink while playing. I notice that he plays too aggressively when he drinks that he ends up making the wrong decisions. I already tried to talk to him but the times for later continues.
I don't think poker is alcohol-friendly.

This thread is great because I feel like poker and alcohol are always mixed together whether it’s a home game with your buddies or at the casino with the free drinks but honestly I feel as if the only reason anyone gives you excessive drinks is to make you play looser and lose more money I know the casinos do it and I know for a fact your friends do the same thing (;

True friends will feed u drinks to see u lose money and do sum stuff

Everytime then i drink everytime i'm loose! I do not love to drink when playing poker!!!

This is the thing. If your drinking causally and slow it shouldn't affect you in short term.

Good example. i played a tourney the other night. I started drinking around the beginning. I ended up in the money in second place. By then i was feeling good so i took my winning and went to the cash tables. I started off killing it. Ran my winning up 4 fold. Funny thing is you dont pay attention as much and make woopty do calls. By the time I drank my last beer I had lost all of it. So yes you can drink and play and the other players will not complain if you do. But I would advise not to. See ya the tables.:flute::flute::flute:

I bought beer, chips and fish. I sit waiting for the tournament. The first jar went into battle. As well after a hot work, cold beer. While quenches thirst. Then quench the soul and tomorrow comes the hangover, do not do as I do, this is not correct. Drink during the game.
