Do you drink alcohol when you play poker?

Easy.. but ofcourse you could also lose, I don't gotta tell you that..

Thing is, if you are generally a winning player then a €200 bankroll buying in for €10 each time, you should be more than safe w/ 20buy ins & if you lose it then you know where you stand & what you need go work on.. also ofcourse you could do it w/ much less than that amount.. just make sure you leave yourself enough buy ins for when variance kicks.. 1) Yes I have and lost a lot...
2) Personally it doesn't really help me concentrate. It alters my judgement and way of thinking logically.

3) I concentrate by listening to music or podcasts. I thinks it's nice to listen to something smooth that can keep you relaxed and help you overcome your emotions (e.g. after a bad beat)

I find a drink or 2 takes the edge off and calms the nerves in live poker, never more than that though. Still have to remain focused and coherent

One of the best combinations for me is to have a beer and play poker !! very little chance of me getting tilt haha!
but of course drink moderately!

I do, and find that I don't make the best decisions when I've had a little to much. I really enjoy playing with the guys, and gals. Pretty good social event. I get chipped up early and then they go bye bye. Someday I'll learn my lesson.

i don't think drinking alcohol whilst playing poker is a good idea due to the fact that you need to be in the right state of mind to deduce and stay focus at the game

i haven't experience the thrill of winning a marginal to huge sum on the tables as yet but i have bettered my game so one day soon hoping.

my first cash was 400 and after that just small amounts till i used all poor bankroll management

i have been able to use the labeling feature to put my opponents on ranges and also to differentiate between tight players rocks loose randoms players and it has helped a lot

also i pay very close attention to how players bet and raise that way they are easier to read

it is wise to play a bit loose in the beginning fazes of tournaments when i say loose see more flops

and play more reserved in late stages

I mostly drink normal black tea in the way we British tend to -- a bit of milk and sugar sweeteners. Bad for my stomach and actually bad for play. My genuine interest in poker is a reason why I'm trying to properly quit my artificial sweetener habit and get used to water but I might try some Japanese green tea, instead.

In my house nobody drinks alcohol is law, but sometimes I get half dizzy from a meeting and I start to play but it has not gone very well.
