Do you drink alcohol when you play poker?

I almost do not drink alcohol: I lead a healthy lifestyle. I think it's a loss of concentration...
or complete relaxation, when you play automatically... But the second variant I'm not tryied, because... look up! To each his own!

I am an online player, and I do not religiously separate alcohol and poker. But I dont think, it enhances my performance in any way. So as many others have said, if you are playing for money, that matter to you or your bankroll, its not the best idea in the world to be intoxicated.

I do drink, but only in housegames with friends, where the point is to have fun, and not make money. But when I play online, I want to make money and I think drinking distracts me, or I can't keep concentrated. This is why I don't drink.

I don't think its right or wrong, it depends on what you want, if you like having fun then I'll go for it, but if its serious I'll rather not drink.

Sometimes I drink while playing. A few glasses of wine or beer and it will be fine. But when I drink whiskey and playing a tournament I always end up making bold moves that burns me. i would make the buble then throw it all away. I guess it has a negative effect if your are playing for a few hours. Cash games I dont mind because I can stop when I want.

Absolutely. Alcohol helps keep me relaxed. It's always a good karma to buy someone you're up on, a beer.

If you want to play your best game just do not drink alcohol. One beer (but just one) sometimes helps me to be more relaxed and play better but that is me. There is not guarantee that it will work same way for you. In any case playing drunk will never end well. If you want to drink and play poker just organize home game for few dollars and combine the drink and poker play fun.
