At the moment I prefer tournaments, I don't know but I have much more fun than in cash. I feel that you have to have a lot of money in the cashier to be able to play in cash.

I gave up on cash games a long time ago. They have always been unprofitable for me. I prefer tournaments, I have pretty good results and I'm quite happy with my progress.

Personally, I like tournaments over cash. I am more of a person who likes to compete to win over just getting cash so tournament poker is exactly what I truly love to play.. don’t get me wrong – could be fun, but it doesn’t give me that seems thrill of victory.

Cash game you have a faster return but you can lose faster, tournament is safer, in my opinion!

I enjoy both games. I prefer tournaments as I find them less stressful.

I prefer tournaments - much more fun I think trying to place in the money 7 then as high up as you can! Whereas if you're just playing a cash game all you're thinking about it the cash your on and how much you've won or lost. In a tournament you can take your time, pour yourself a drink and settle down to a good few hours of good poker! :)

I feel the same way. I started playing tournaments in 2018 because I wanted to do something competitive again after a fifteen or so year layoff. The cash is nice, but it is basically just the trophy you get when you win or place in a tournament. When I shot sporting clays and small bore rifle it was a pin, trophy, or merchandise. And in my high school days, my one varsity letter in the 1968-69 season. :) No matter what the medium of the prize is, the true reward is what you've accomplished.

This is a good question. I prefer cash games. Tournaments we have to play for hours and we know for sure that no matter how good we might be at the tables we won’t get more than 20% of tournaments played.
However tournaments use to have a lot of fun, because there are the short stack situation, the desperate jamming preflop in the advanced levels, the bubble, the final table and sometimes friends watching us and praying for us.
Cash games are not thrilling, on the contrary, cash is a boring game once the strategy is the opposite of tournaments: in cash we play at least with 100 blinds effective stack (Deep Stack Strategy).
Cash is a game o patience and discipline, it is a more bureaucratic game than tournaments. The good side of cash is that we can leave the tables whenever we want with no attachments or further penalty.
I prefer cash because I heard some professionals talking about variance and how long they have to struggle on their mindset to get profitable.
A professional sometimes gets 2 or 3 months only losing tournaments, but in the long run or the next months it hits the final table of some of these and eventually gets the first place, and it compensates all of the months it stood on the negative.

I like both, but at the moment i play more tournaments than cash games...In my Opinion cash games (especially the zoom form in the lower stakes) are a good possibility to start building a bankroll

Cash game are quicker then tournaments but in tournaments if you get deep you can win more money. If i don't have much time i prefer to play cash game, but playing tournament is what i like the best.

I prefer tournaments. If I play cash games, then with very small buy ins. I play poker for fun once or two time per week and not to get rich.

A cash game player can choose his game strategy on his own and change as necessary in accordance with his preferences and skills. The player may bluff frequently, play aggressively or passively, etc. But the strategy in the tournament closer to its end must necessarily undergo changes (compared to the early stages of the tournament). The player is forced to play more aggressively, otherwise the mandatory bets will “eat up” all his chips before the player waits for a strong card and takes part in the distribution. At cash tables, the game time is limited directly by the players, therefore, the results can only be evaluated over a long distance. Tournaments have strict time limits and the luck factor plays a more prominent role in them.

In the tournament, you can rise, and in the cash game you can increase your strength.

I've always preferred tournaments. This is a quieter game than cash. Secondly, I understand the tactics of playing tournaments better.

I play both, but I prefer cash because it doesn't take the several hours that going deep in a tournament requires.
