Poker as a whole will unlikely be affected, it may become more difficult to play in Russia and Ukraine but I don’t see it affecting anywhere else as of yet. Large tournaments by outside groups will cancel any Russian dates until further notice as they should

I think that some of the effects will be the tournaments that were scheduled in Russian territory or I also think that if they block Internet services in Russia, many players from that country will be affected. My wish is that this war comes to an end soon!
After the outbreak of the war, a huge number of sanctions were applied to Russia. The disconnect from SWIFT means that a lot of poker players will no longer be able to deposit to the poker room. Live poker events that were scheduled before the start of the war will be canceled for sure. There are constant interruptions in the Internet, blocking providers, and not all poker rooms allow you to use a VPN. So the war will have a very serious impact on poker. I will not write about players from Ukraine, because now they don’t even think about poker, but think about how to survive in the war. May there be peace throughout the world.

In the case of Venezuela, it can be affected, at least in pokerstars since the method to make deposits and withdrawals is through a Russian platform and with all the restrictions that are being applied to Russia, this can affect the moment of making deposits or withdrawals. Let's hope the war ends soon

I don't think it will affect all the poker industry but of course it will affect the player that lives in Russia and Ukraine

Unfortunately, it has already affected. What is the closure of PokerStars worth for ordinary Russians.

A person can do without poker. You better think about global changes while isolating a large country. This will respond in almost all countries with an increase in the price of oil and gas.

Yes, unfortunately people who have nothing to do with this madness will be affected.

But I think it will last for a maximum of two more months.

Taking advantage of this, my condolences to Ukrainian friends.

War is started by politicians and globalists. The people have nothing to do with the war. Its ridiculous to think the war could affect poker. But the world is ridiculous most of the time.
