I take absurd or bad situations better (i.e. bad beats).

Poker has made me more disciplined. The bankroll management I have mastered has allowed me to look at very simple and elementary things from a different angle, and thanks to this, I have even started to treat financial expenses in my own life differently.

Sometimes you get so confused, you make the wrong decision and then regret it.

It helped me on being more calm on stressful situations (and I already was) and I learned to make better decisions in moments that require a more statistical or analytical choice.

It's an interesting question.

I don't believe just PLAYING poker changes your personality. But I do believe that if you study and learn the game and how to embrace the ups and downs of the game, that can impact how you handle life's bad beats as well. I also believe that simply getting older and more experienced in life helps with dealing with poker swings, too.

Poker can change your personality over time because it teaches patience, emotional control, risk management, and analytical thinking. Many players become more disciplined and strategic in real life, learning to make decisions under pressure. However, it can also lead to negative traits if not managed well, like increased stress, over-competitiveness, or risk-taking habits. The impact depends on how you approach the game—whether as a controlled pursuit of skill or an emotional gamble. Ultimately, poker shapes traits that mirror your playing mindset.

Poker may stress you out more, you may be in a bad mood if you've lost a lot of money.

I feel like poker is something I can enjoy for hours on end, and it never bores me. It exercises the mind. Well, we all like to make money. Who doesn't? I'd say it's more like playing the guitar... another pending thing I want to do well. Personally, I had a bad year in 2024, and I distanced myself from everything and returned to poker, a habit I had abandoned, and it helped me relax and recover from that bad moment.
