Dumb question. gambling is any activity waged (usually for money) in which you can either win or lose regardless of the odds or the perceived level of skill of the players.

I believe that any game or any sport that involves a spirit of competition is gambling, and poker is no exception. And it's not even about the fact that the game is played for real money, if you play for play chips or money against real people or, for example, an institution, then in this case there will also be excitement. I remember the moments when we got together with the guys to play football or tennis, there was exactly the same excitement as during a game of poker, although there was no talk of money, we played for fun and interest. Excitement appears in those moments when a person wants to beat someone and be better or stronger than another, I think that this rivalry is the essence of excitement. Well, the fact that the game is played for real money, this moment only adds adrenaline to the game, to the main excitement.

Poker is not a game of chance, it is a game of skill and strategy, if you study you will certainly have good results and with the experience of always playing you will gain more confidence.

you can probably win one random tournament with a big luck but in a long term its impossible to win without skills. So I wouldn't consider poker as a gambling game

If you play for money and constantly lose, then this is not gambling, but a disease. You can play poker for money for free, then there is nothing to lose, only your time is considered gambling, and then there is no excitement. Play responsibly and there will be no excitement.

Bots have been around since the start of online poker! The sites used them to fill tables and tournaments when they first started up! I tryed to tell the online players but they were too smart to listen! Now they know! About time!

I understand that every game will have luck and bad luck, what will define it will be our intelligence, because we do not have 100% luck and 100% bad luck.

If you are playing for money or items of value then yes.

If you are not betting or buying in to win a prize then no .

I would disagree - yes it’s a game of chance but also requires skill to master. It’s not all down to luck :)

You're lucky to win at poker because you win with good hands.

Technically poker, like any fair card game is gambling. But if you play enougb cards, you will find tendencies, variance, and you will find yourdself on streaks, going for you, and against you. It all evens out, but the cold streaks casn seems endless. Good luck to all. And walking away from games of chance when you know you need a break helps save the babnkroll, and the state of mind.

I think it all depends on your month of location. In some countries, poker is a game of chance, in others it's a sport. For me personally, poker will always be more of a sport than a game of chance. I play poker primarily to win and enjoy this great feeling.

If poker is considered as a gamble, then I can also consider dating with a girl as a gamble. Since in both cases you need to know math (to have enough money for dinner in a restaurant) and psychology (to understand what a girl wants at any particular moment of a date). :ROFLMAO:

I think that the luck element of poker is gambling, and the solid playing element of poker is a learned skill. I think it's a hybrid form of game play and gambling. You have more control than playing slots and less control than playing chess.
