I have to be careful., sometimes I get a little carried away - when I find myself carrying my laptop all over the house, even into the bathroom I know its time to refocus - I used to always have at least 2 tables open at all times, now I plan what mtt's I will play and allow myself brakes - My wife wont really give me a hard time but I know when it gets to be too much

The more interesting question is, does your personal life interfere with poker?

Nope, I play only if I have nothing better to do.If there is a chance of hang out with some friends or do an activity in my free time, poker is not my priority. The thing is that is a hobby for me so I have the option to play whenever I want and if I want.

I began to notice the growing discontent in my family that I spend too much time on poker.
The wife is dissatisfied and especially is dissatisfied angry mother-in-law. She constantly very much grumbles, that I play at night.
But what if I like to play?If poker is very exciting to me?!
what to do? how to be?

Your mother-in-law shouldn't be involved in your night time activities, that's what you need to stop.

You need to devote more time to your family, and try to show them that the family is more important than poker, and poker is your hobby. To my family, I try to take a maximum of time, and if necessary I can miss an important tournament.

That is a good question.
My wife likes poker, but if we are going to catalog ourselves in percentage it would be like this:
To her one (50%).
To me one (98%).
That means that although we both love poker we always have our differences I like to play an online tournament every day, and this brings me discussions with her so I try to plan a schedule so I can play and share time with her.

I have no personal life. For the last 11 years poker has occupied about 10 to 12 hours a day. But have been on a 3 or 4 month downswing, so now I've taken up daily MLB Fantasy Sports. Research keeps me busy. Oh well... As my signature says.......

I think it does if your really a gambler, degenerate gambler i mean when you loose control and all you want to do its play and win it will bring you down, I have many stories that i myself feel a shame to share. One minute i wish it all just when away and that it was a dream, at nights it gets hard to sleep when you have this thought of the game plays or of what you when thru during the day.

Do what you think is necessary! You are a man, which means that you are the head of the family and your opinion should be respected! Another thing if you are addicted to poker is a gambler, in which case you need to listen to the opinion of close people!

Poker its like any other game for me. I have easy tactic. I'am playing only with cash i won in past free tournaments. If i lost it i start other free tournament, and thats it. If i won some more $$ i just withdraw it and starts from beginning.

You have to make it have priorities, eg your family. That is, spend more time with her, maybe talk about poker, if she does not know how to play teach, or do any activity they usually do and when you are alone, or she is busy, play !! Of the rest I think that you must be careful because the game of poker is just a game, a hobby, it's a while and the family always remains, it will always be there for you.
