Have you ever had a royal flush or a straight flush?
I haven't had one yet, and today was my first straight flush. It would be interesting to hear from you if you have ever had a royal flush and how many hands you have played up to that point.

I have had a few royal flushes in my lifetime, but I play a lot of omaha and have had more omaha royal flushes than NLH.

I had one royal and a few straight flushes.
I was also at a table where a Royal Flush appears on the board, but folded preflop.

No Royal Flush in 17 years of poker for me.
But, I have had my AAAKK beat by a Royal Flush in a casino.
I have only seen 3 Royal Flushes in my life (all live games, including the one above.)
Have had several straight flushes over the years, including one (KQJT9) just last night in a live home game. (One away from the Royal, and I got the 9 on the river.)

I've had Royal Flush and Strait Flush a couple of times but I don't know how many hands I had played until I got my first one. I've had Royal in Holdem and Omaha and also in the 5CD.

Who knows how many times you've had the right hands for a royal flush in your hand and then every other folded before the flop. When you look at the odds, it seems even more absurd how many hands you have to have played to increase the possibility.
A royal flush has a chance of 0.000154% while a straight flush has a chance of 0.00139%.
So 1 in 100,000?

It does seem like a huge longshot doesn't it.
I've had a few StraightFlushes... 129 in total actually. And Royals, I've had 34 in total!

And maybe even more crazy than this ^, I've actually hit TWO Royals on the very same day back in Aug.15, 2020.

These numbers are just since 2010 when I began keeping track of them. I actually started playing online back in 2007 and have also played live poker for many years too (but haven't kept track of any aside from ones that happened online and only from 2010 til' present)

As far as how many hands I've played... I have no idea. I would guess 5 million is not out of the realm of possibility.

Yes, I've had a few of both before; I also play a decent amount of poker too though
It took me about one year of playing to score my first ever Royal Flush, but by this point, I had already witnessed about 3 or 4 different Royals at my table or a nearby table, so finally getting one myself was special.

It's a statistical certainty if you play long enough. Last time I had a royal flush in a cash ring I was so annoyed that everyone folded. And I didn't ask for much.. just to show off.

Straight flush collected 5-6 times in three years of the game. Royal flush collected 3 times. I don't know the number of hands.
