No, this has never happened to me. But I think players who don't follow bankroll management can have a nervous breakdown. :D

Poker is not the panacea that many people attracted to the game think it is. It takes a lot of work and discipline to earn a living from it. Think about what has to happen for the few who have the “right stuff” to succeed - the rest of us have to lose. You’ll know if you’ve got what it takes. If you don’t, stick to freerolls, but don’t go overboard there either.

If you’re having a “nervous breakdown” over poker it’s time to find a new hobby.

not because we have to be aware that things will not always go well, I think that if we play at adequate levels our bench would not have to have a nervous breakdown

No, luckily I have not experienced this, but I can imagine that playing poker for a living can be very exhausting mentally and physically.

I don't know what you mean by serious nervous breakdown, but in the first few years I started to play, it was a lot easier to me be on tilt. I lost my bankroll many times (it was not a big bankroll at the time, mostly freerolls winnings), but I would not consider those episodes as a serious nervous breakdown.

They were not nervous breakdowns but I did get a little nervous when I started playing and ended up all in on a flip

I had a nervous breakdown due to a bad internet connection when I lost a $ 55 ticket and forgot my smartphone at my girlfriend's house. I opened the cognac and only then everything fell into place.

That's a very serious thing if somebody got something like that because of poker and somebody like that has to go to therapy and not be allowed to play poker at all. Poker is a game and you should never forget that so if you get a nervous breakdown about poker then this game is no longer a game for that person. At least that's my opinion. If you only lose then you should see why that is and work on getting better again and get rid of bad old game habits. You should never use money that you need for life and pay attention to your bankroll. It doesn't matter if you have a nervous breakdown because of poker or something else, something like that is always to be taken seriously and you should get help. Luckily I haven't had this because of poker and I don't think it ever will

No, never.
I have been gambling for many years and I have lost a lot of money many times, but I have always found the strength to control my emotions. Although of course there are situations that are not unreasonably disappointing.

Poker is my hobby. A hobby does not usually cause a nervous breakdown. In fact, I treat the game lightly and play for fun. Poker has never caused me a nervous breakdown.

Just a game and emotions showed be under control at the very least. If you feel the results of variance as an extreme emotional outburst then maybe poker is not the choice for you.

No...but I would if I had the strength to tip one of those big heavy tables over. Throwing the cards wouldn't have the same effect. ;)

Never nervous enough to collapse, the most I was was annoyed one hand or another, but when that happens and I'm out of the tournament, I turn off the pc and go cool off playing with my dogs.

I wouldnt really say serious, but i definitely had some pretty bad ones. Over time you just grow more as a poker player, and just take that stuff with ease.

It happened once, then I took a break for about a month. Feeling the desire to play, he tried to relate to what was happening easier.
