When you hit a big score or win a tournament, do you celebrate somehow or just move on to the next game?

I don't celebrate my great results too much, I move on to the next tournament with the same commitment because I know that victory is the result of discipline and persistence.

Dpends.....for wins or scores over 1k there's nothing like a good 25 year glass of scotch. For wins or scores under that my go to is a bit cheaper scotch(Writers Tears) or something similar as I'm always trying a new different cheapish scotch. A glass of Hennessey is also pretty sweet.

Cheers!!!

I enjoy it for a bit, then get back to grinding. Can’t let one win make me slow down.

I'm already focusing on other screens, but the feeling of victory stays in my mind!

I haven't had any big poker wins yet! Of course, a big win is different for everyone. I think if I win the tournament first place and the payouts reach more than $100, then I can celebrate. In such a case, I have a bottle of wine, and I'll open it and drink a glass.

I have not had any big wins yet, but I have thought many times about the prospect of having a big win and then using that money for myself and my family. Hopefully one day soon it will come true.

I haven't had any big wins yet, the biggest was $310. I was happy about it, but there was no need to celebrate. However, I hope that I will have the opportunity to celebrate in the future. Over $1000.

I have had a few big scores…the biggest was at the 2019 wsop Colossus event…I ended up about 1500th out of about 22,000 entrants for a payout of $646 on a $400 entry fee. What made it so big was the fact that it was the WSOP, the biggest poker tournament. The level of excitement was off the chart. I went to Las Vegas alone for the tournament because if I was successful, I would have played poker for most of the day so I would not have been able to spend much time with my wife, even meals…so I was alone with nobody to celebrate with…I just went to bed, then off to the airport to fly home.

When I score a big win, I like to keep the celebration balanced — enough to enjoy the moment but not so much that it throws me off my long-term mindset. Usually, I treat myself to something nice, like a good dinner, a small trip, or buying something I’ve been wanting for a while. I also take a short break from playing to reflect on the game — what I did right, what I could repeat, and how to keep that focus in future sessions. Celebrating is important, but staying grounded reminds me that variance goes both ways — today’s big win can be tomorrow’s downswing if I get careless.

Hey there,
iam not waiting for that one day or fill my day with hopes i cannot control. Iam celebrating even small victories. For me its a powerful way to stay motivated and build mental resilience by recognizing progress. I celebrate myself by rewarding with a small self-care activity or simply acknowledging the accomplishment to me. This practice helps me building confidence, it reinforces positive behaviors, and keeps me engaged with my long-term goals. But yeah if i would score big, i guess its always important to stay balanced and be thankful.
