Total deposits over 20+ years $450. Haven't deposited on my main site Pokerstars in 15+ years.

Nothing. Over the years I'm ahead quite a bit for playing micro/low stakes cash and micro-Sunday Million MTT's. Use to play/grind a lot when I first started as I had a lot more free time Poker has been a good side hustle and nice, relax and fun hobby for my over the years. No regrets.

Cheers!!!

poker has cost me nothing but time. To go further, i put family and friends ahead of poker, so i dont play if it interferes with what i love. Family and Friends.
Luckily i have managed it pretty good.

Thank you CC <3 and her endless bounty :) The PS CC freerolls carried me for a few years but the knowledge I have gained here carried me farther!

let's know how much have you lost in poker so far.
I've been playing for about 8 years and I haven't spent more than $80. I spend no more than $10 a year on poker :)

I have never lost in poker, I have a positive balance so I have no losses, in no month that I played I was negative, every month the balance is always positive and I hope it stays that way

I don’t invest money in poker, I play from free ones and then either withdraw or play on them.

At the end of each month I always come out positive, in poker you win and lose but in the end, in the long term a good player will always win, so study and work hard on your game.

I try to play what I win in freerolls so as not to expose my assets

For me, poker is entertainment that brings money. I don't invest my own money in the game. I've been playing for about 3-4 years now and I haven't spent more than $100, and I invested this money in order to be able to apply for a withdrawal in the future.

Yes there is definitely the opportunity cost of time to consider and that is sometimes hard to put a dollar value on and will vary a lot from person to person. For example for a retired person with lots of time it may be zero and a little brain exercise from poker may be a good thing. But for a young person playing poker rather than getting an education or developing a business or career the opportunity cost would be very high.

losing should be taken as tuition fees, at first everyone plays in the red, I first lost to 1000, now I've won many times more

Not much, but I've got to be behind taking everything into account.

Only ever play micros but really enjoy theory. As such I've spent more on learning than I ever have winning or losing actually playing. I'm a strange one.

Books, software, online courses etc. It all adds up. I spend so much time on that I forget to play. :ROFLMAO:

I lost a little, I think up to $100. On average, I withdraw $50-100 a month, but this is only thanks to our CardsChat freerolls, which allow me to play in tournaments that are profitable for me.

I keep a spreadsheet of game cost and any money won and I've made a profit every year. Its only small amounts about £80 a year. I'm actually down £25 in the last month, but over this year so far I'm up £200, cos I had a big win early on. (Unless you include the cost of several holidays in Las Vegas which I've only done cos I play poker, but I've done other thing while I've been there and the actual poker games have been profitable while I'm there)

Not much, just win tickets and you play the tournament for a fraction of the entry price.
