Of course experience. Only experience. A player who chooses money instead of experience simply does not understand the essence of poker.

Funnily enough if you would ask certain individuals here "do you live to work or work to live" then you are knowing their responses even before they answer. Looks like you are just like that (not sure whether is it bad thing though) :dontknow:

Also since you seem to know so much about the essence of poker then why you dont put your knowledge to good use and start teaching (these stupid players who chose money) :hmmmm2:

My choice would be experience. Sooner or later it will make you money.

If the experience ends up matching Phil Ivey's, I'd take it. Then the money comes all by itself :D

If it was a lot of money and average experience I'd probably prefer the money since the experience would come with time and the buy ins would already be secured.

Experience is clear, with experience you run after and earn money, now with money and without experience the only experience you will have is how to lose money

Well that his a great question. Myself personally I would take the money (depending on the amount of course) because I could take that money and gain a lot of experience at the poker tables with it, not only gaining that experience but also increasing my bankroll at the same time.

Very interesting comments on this thread. Thanks for the question.

Yes, experience will always be a priority. It's obvious to me. I, like you, would also choose experience.

Experience is more important. But I am a pragmatic player and if I was offered a million dollars, for example, I would choose money. I would choose money and that money would allow me to just spend time playing, and yet, over time, get that experience and also enjoy the game.

For me, poker is a hobby that I enjoy. When I play poker I don't think about money, I think about the right game and my right decisions. Poker brings me a small income, but I'm more interested in improving my skills to get better every day.

Indeed, experience is a good option. Experience comes with money. If you are an expert in the game, it will make you a lot of money

That is a very good question and also a difficult one. Well I guess everyone loves money but when it comes to poker it doesn't help to have thousands of dollars if you don't have experience in the game so yes I also think that experience is more important than money. But in the end you need experience to make money, so I think the two things are pretty close. I wonder how many people would say no if offered money. On the other hand, of course, if you have enough experience and you can use it successfully in poker, you don't need this money because you can get enough money yourself. I find this question very tricky but yes I also say experience
