It was an interesting article. I think online poker definitely should be approached with caution because it can be all-consuming. But for people that approach it the right way it is a much healthier habit than many alternatives.

Also, I didn't really get the part at the end about women playing the cards and men getting the other people to think they have something. That doesn't really seem like a very accurate stereotype, even as stereotypes go. Unless I missed something?

No, but you need him to stack damn often. It's a widely accepted fact that, even in position, in general you don't have odds in a 3bet pot to call a small pair.

I'm too lazy to find it now but I think it was Zach who wrote a very good post on set mining. The gist of it: you don't have as good odds as you think.

I didn't write it, just copied it from 2p2 lol. Basically you need 11.7:1 against if they stack 100% of the time postflop and you fold without a set and stack with a set. The fact that he's spewy also means that when you hit a set there are some times he has random shit for like 8 high and won't stack.

Oh, yeah, I always think only about my cards. ALWAYS. I don't care what you have and I never bluff, and you should never try to bluff me. ;) Heheheh, stereotypes FTW.

Okay being a US resident with a Mac computer, my options between poker sites are few and far between.

Does anyone who frequents this thread have any good information about the +/- of Absolute poker?

Does anyone who frequents this thread have any good information about the +/- of Absolute poker?

the good: 40bb min, 200bb max tables as standard. cash tables with antes. Fishy.

the bad: software not as good as PS or FT. bad beat jackpot tables means extra rake. Contributed rake method makes for lower rakeback than FT. Very little FR action. Not enough action to really table select at 200nl.
