What stakes are you playing? FR or 6max? Are you still short stacking?

Not an easy question lol. I was s/s whilst awaiting my money to clear so I could re-deposit back at Stars. Plus I was just losing so much playing full stack, I thought sod it just s/s for a bit. Let me tell you this.... playing s/s nit style is definitely a losing proposition imo. You just lose too much to the blinds to be able to make a 7/6 style pay off.

So I got some money at Stars again, I decided to have a FR sesh yeasterday and I think I'llbe staying at FR until I learn how to win again.

Jay for the last time, drop the # of tables you play, and play some poker! You're a smart guy, poker isn't that hard to beat.

I'll gladly do some sweats with you; my game is a little in the gutter right now too and I could use some more discussion.

Seriously Chuck I have. I made a conscious decision at the end of December to cut down and just play 6max. It could not have gone any worse for me. I was playing between 4-6 tables 6max and had my biggest losing month ever.

I played most of feb 2-tabling HU. It went well early on, but then turned south towards the end of the month.

Deconstruct your game back to basics and build it back up piece by piece? I've had to do this a couple of times with my MTT game when things just went wrong somewhere.

Alternatively sacrifice a goat.

agree with this. you can beat the games playing solid, nitty, no-tilting, ABC poker. if things are really going badly for a long time, i think it's a good idea to go back to that, about as basic as you can. stay out of marginal situations. keep things as low-variance as you can. also table select. yes, you're knowingly passing up some potential EV, but the long-term psychological benefits and confidence you'll gain by beating the game again should be worth it.

then gradually incorporate more aggression and advanced plays into your game. when your state of mind is in the dumps you just need to know that you can win again and build from there. i really believe that's the best long-term solution

It's difficult, because I think I convinced myself to adjust my NSD winnings too much and by that I mean getting more aggressive post flop and making some -EV river bluffs. I have tried to eradicate that as much as possible now so we'll se if I can get my **** together.

If it helps, you aren't the only one having this sort of month... you are basically describing the emotions and results I'm going through this month perfectly...

I keep telling myself the above and keep having a -2 or -3 BI sessions mainly cause I'm losing virtually every single big hand. Take those away (or god forbid the AA holds up for once...can someone teach me how to do that?) and I'm break even to showing an ok profit. Trying to take encouragement from that esp since I got it in good (or can't fault my decision to get it in) for most of those big hands. I have to win some of em eventually! Sounds like what you are going through too.

I'm refusing to let it get me down and you shouldn't either. It will turn around. I'm telling myself as soon as I clear that bonus today the doomswitch will get switched off! (don't look at me like that!)

Left of dealer always gets extra chip. Not sure exactly why but I know that's the way it is both live and online.

Ive played live where the extra 1 euro chip or w/e gets put into the pot for the next hand, i thought that was the norm, never noticed the to the left of the dealer thing before. I wasn't actually angry about this by the way lol Just found it funny that the lucky man lost less cash than me

That must be a Euro thing... this way is the way it's basically done in any US poker room afaik (I am a dealer btw) as well as the major online sites.
