Aren't you supposed to be a guide around here??? Stop being so results oriented. If there is a problem with your game CC can help you fix it. If it's just standard stuff (from the hands you posted on your blog this looks to be the case) taking a break is fine but it's really no different than playing. gl
PS - already side-stepping my "not going to post here for a while" lol ... I used to joke who would be the worst commander if the video game "Command and Conquer" was real and I thought of David Arquette. So I call him "Commander David Arquette" because he will guide you ... to slaughter! I kind of feel like the Commander David Arquette of poker, but the good news is I think I helped Shrog today during our brief sweat session.
I took a long walk with my dog. I thought about my options right now. I thought about the "cooler vs. me playing bad" debate in my head. I then thought about my options, holisitically. Basically it boils down to:
1. Take out $4k, pay off a lot of debts, take a vacation, and keep the $1.4k left in my
bankroll and just grind 50nl at pokerstars or some other site with rakeback.
2. Take a few days off, don't make rash decisions, and re-evaluate poker/life/universe.
3. Get the tilt and negativity out of my head. Grab my cahones and play through it. Do what I can to keep a level head. Play 50nl until I get confidence back, analyze my game. Get a few people to sweat my sessions, get back to pure basic nit play and open up the game gradually from there.
Anyways to be 100% honest I think #2 is the best option. Clearly I am running bad AND making bad decisions (I think it's a 75%-25% split in favor of coolers). It's a lethal combination.
I hope in 2 months I can read this post and laugh but then I think ... wow I can really do a lot with $4k. So I'll continue to evaluate the options. Clearly the happiest ending would be to stick with it and start winning consistantly again at 100nl... but at this case I have to evaluate the likelihood of that scenario.
