There, now you can hate me.

I included the ever popular All-in EV line to show just how much I suck.

Off to play now.

Wow. I think the general idea behind posting the EV line is showing people you don't suck but GOD hates you. So you're doing it wrong.

Sick man hope it turns around :(.

I won't count tomorrow, but I achieved my March goal...sort of. I did more than double my stars BR, but I didn't do it the way I posted, via micro ring.
Across several sites my ring game is running about break even, tho I haven't isolated this year from last, I don't remember any tragedies and do remember getting up with profit. Could be selective memory.

For April, I can almost entertain seeking a wsop seat. I think my tourney game is in the realm of capable to cash at the WSOP, BUT, BIG BUT, my br will be a problem. Its decent at several sites, but probably couldn't hold up long if it takes multiple tries at a seat. SO it becomes super sats, or super super sats to win a seat.

I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and damn, I got a Gus Hansen Haircut now!;)

I was gonna post a dumb vent about how people can shove with a naked flush draw over a raise and a re-raise and suck out but seeing Chris post puts things into perspective.
Wow Chris that totaly fkn sucks.
I hope you start running good or atleast not like shit.

3bet preflop. Alternatively, bet turn. Bet smallish (1/3 to 1/2 pot) on river.

Am i missing something, or is 3betting a fairly nitty player who has opened from earlyish position with A,K pretty bad. Especially when a 65/10 is the caller (which i forgot to mention). Also what hands are calling turn bets? a,q i suppose maybe, and what calls river that we beat? I don't see a,j calling, a,q is a vague possibility

10/8 isn't that nitty, Probably just a standard reg who doesn't steal enough in position. Also, the spread is quite small so it's probably made only of flat calls and not of any open-limps, which means his raising range is not too small.

As a general rule, 3betting lightish from the button is sexy and something you want to have in your game. In this particular case, both lines are fine, imo.

meh, what does he call the 3bet with though? I think playing the pot in position with the fish involved aswell is better, but i unno. I suppose the fish might call the 3bet anyway

Roll the dice, every soul's gotta price
For a fene while your teen do things you won't believe,
And kids in poverty pull tricks and robberies, so do what you gotta do to get something to eat

10/8 is kinda nitty but not super nitty... I'm not worried about the 65/10 really... I'm 3betting this all day. the 10/8 will fold a large % of the time and if the 65/10 comes along you are well ahead of his range anyway so that's not a bad thing.

What will a 10/8 come along with? Depends on the player but I would generally expect AK, and possibly TT-QQ.. most 10/8's would 4b KK+ (most of the time) and AK as well probably (not quite as often), depending on his impression of you he may 4b QQ as well
.
Some 10/8's might always fold medium pp's, some might always call and others would decide what to do based on your 3b size.

As played I think I just check the river behind because I'm not sure wtf is going to call you that you beat except maybe AQ or TT...and I imagine he'd fold even those most/all of the time. If he was on a flush draw he's certainly not calling with that either.

so what you are saying there is, we should 3bet the AK all day long because the hands we will get looked up by are all ahead of us?

When by calling we play the hand ahead of the nittyish players range, and with a fish in the hand, and position on both

Bah if I didn't lose this sick 70/30 I would've been up like 4+ buy ins for the session. Oh well certainly can't complain about a +2 buy in session.

I don't really like his shove, but I guess it's standard ? I think it becomes more standard at higher limits though and not yet on 25nl..

MP3: $34.50 (138 bb)
CO: $4.15 (16.6 bb)
Hero (BTN): $33.30 (133.2 bb)
SB: $56.40 (225.6 bb)
BB: $10.60 (42.4 bb)
UTG+1: $12.75 (51 bb)
MP1: $25.70 (102.8 bb)
MP2: $36.95 (147.8 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is BTN with 3:club: 3:diamond:
3 folds, MP3 calls $0.25, CO folds, Hero calls $0.25, SB completes, BB checks

Flop: ($1) 3:spade: 4:spade: K:heart: (4 players)
SB bets $0.75, BB calls $0.75, MP3 folds, Hero raises to $2.50, SB raises to $7.50, BB folds, Hero raises to $33.05 and is all-in, SB calls $25.55

Turn: ($67.85) J:club: (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($67.85) 6:spade: (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results: $67.85 pot ($3 rake)
SB showed K:spade: Q:spade: (a flush, King high) and won $64.85 ($31.55 net)
Hero mucked 3:club: 3:diamond: (three of a kind, Threes) and lost (-$33.30 net)
