Hey there,
Tournament poker is exciting due to the potential for large payouts relative to the buy-in, the high-stakes pressure of the final table, the psychological competition, and the unique adrenaline rush of building a large chip stack and going on a "deep run". Unlike cash games, the risk of losing everything at any moment creates a thrilling, all-or-nothing dynamic, as players battle to survive and win it all

I play both. Cash(full-ring) during the week and MTT's on weekends. Playing full-ring allows me to pretty much play the same in cash and MTT's when I'm deep stacked in MTT's. When I'm short stacked in MTT I switch to normal MTT short stack strategy.

Cheers!!!

Which one you'll prefer??
Both cash games and MTTs have their own vibe and difficulty. Cash games are more relaxed and flexible, especially with incentives like tickets on 888 Poker, which makes it easy to join and leave. However, Im favouring more MTTs, theres just something about the lengthy grind and competitive atmosphere of tournaments that makes them so engaging. Its a completely different level of strategy, as you advance, you get to play for bigger stacks and every decision is critical, could be the end of the tournament, if its the wrong move. For me, the real excitement comes from MTTs, while cash games are excellent for when I want a less stressful experience. It's all about the mood i am in for the day, they are both enjoyable for me!

I used to play MTT, but reaching the 3 podium places is challenging and the bench suffers a lot. In addition, the mental part is also affected by the structures of the tournaments. So I am switching to cash and although it has been a complex path I am adapting with an acceptable ROI.

Absolutely, tracking results is one of the best habits you can have if you take the game seriously.
Keeping a file or log helps you spot patterns you’d never notice in the moment: which games or stakes you’re most profitable in, how tilt affects your results, and whether your bankroll management is actually working. It’s also motivating, seeing long-term progress can keep you disciplined during inevitable downswings.

I prefer tournaments also, the idea is to play as many hands that I can wit out loosing to much money. One fee is more manageable as bank roll

Format, I enjoy MTT more, but in practicality, I feel that all good tournament players need to use cash games to help supplement their poker bankroll to help them survive the larger variance larger tournaments bring.

I prefer playing tournaments. When I play cash games, it’s tough for me because chips are real money, and when I lose, it puts pressure on me — I start making bad decisions. That’s why I play cash games very rarely.

I prefer tournaments — the thrill of progressing through stages and chasing that big final table feeling is unmatched. Cash games are great for consistency, but tournaments bring real excitement!

It basically depends how much one likes to feel miserable.

Masochisticly inclined individuals keep going back to tournaments.

I prefer cash because I can play whenever I want, tournaments take a long time.

Many people are better off playing tournaments; they are a little easier.

I’ve never really been into the cash game grind — it feels too repetitive for me. MTTs fit my style better as a hobby player; there’s more excitement, variety, and that tournament rush you just can’t get in cash games. :)
