In the warmup, guy flops 2 pair on a super-wet board and after a check-check turn proceeds to check-raise the river. I had top pair and called. Got just over 8k chips atm, need some more.

If you've been aggressive at the table I like his play, basically the only hand that you call his turn shove with is 22 and ch/r on this flop is almost always a bluff.

Great month, I didn't know I was this bad, but apparently I am...

I honestly didn't even know someone could lose this much money at 5NL 6max, I'm not even mad, I'm impressed...

spent $27 in the cccohe $2 rebuy, most of which tilting after i shoulda/woulda/coulda have had 40k chips after an hour :). But was an epic tourny, a table table of me, bw and ag during first hour brought A LOT of chips to the table, rebuy period of cc tourny > any other hour of poker tbh

also major brag of winning $5.82 from zach in a race to 12,345 chips exactly bet

My heater might be over ... I know I know :) Anyways tried to play 4 tables of 50nl and watch some football ... apparently it makes me a bad player. 100 hands lost $42!

- Had a rivered straight checked-called by a flush (made on turn)
- Overpair loses to a set
- Top two pair loses to rivered boat

I guess could have been worse, and to be honest I made some bad river calls and now realize I wasn't paying attention. If I get some free time (aka wife takes a nap after the Chargers game) I'll finally take my first shot at 100nl.

ugh why is there homework? Was gonna try to pull another marathon session tonight (8500ish last night, was gonna try for another 8-10k day). Then I realized I had homework and 2 tests this week to study for (that I kinda have to do good on, borderline A/B for one and B/C for the other). Played in the warmup and ~1500 hands and then the CC rebuy, but now I've got some hw to do. At least it's semi-fun though. Sample question:

"How many positive integers less than 1000 have distinct digits and are even?"

That one was fun :). Just takes ton of time ugh.

I got 373, how'd you do it?

You're right, I f'ed up and typed 783 instead of 738 in to the calculator, anways, here's how I did it.

Well there's 738 integers with distinct digits, I'll break it down in to groups by number of digits

One Digit :

9 (1-9 ldo)

Two Digits :

Can be found by 9*9, since the first can be any number 1-9 and the second any number 0-9 that isnt the first.

Three Digit :

Same as before, 9*9*8, since now the third digit can be any number 0-9 that isnt the same as the first two.

So you get :

9+81+648 = 738

Now it's easier to use the same process to find the odd ones and subtract from that answer. So :

One Digit :

5 (1,3,5,7,9)

Two Digit :

8*5 (second digit has to be odd, first one can only be 1-9 that isnt the same as the second)

Three Digit :

8*8*5 (same concept as two digit)

so you get :

5+40+320 = 365 odd distinct digit integers

so 738 - 365 = 373 even distinct digit integers

lol yeah I had to do it the hard way and instead of counting did probabilities. Same answer though:

g. 1, 2, or 3 digits.

1 digit: all 9 1-digit number has a distinct digit

2 digits: First digit is irrelevant, 2nd digit must be any of the remaining 9.
Total of 90 (99-9) 2-digit numbers, 9/10 have distinct digits, thus .9*90 = 81 have distinct digits

3 digits: First digit irrelevant. 2nd digit must be any of 9, 3rd digit must be any of the remaining 8.
900 3-digit numbers, .9*.8 = .72
900*.72 = 648 3-digit numbers have distinct digits.

9+81+648 = 738 numbers have distinct digits.

h.
1 digit, 4 are even

2 digits, 90% are distinct given any first digit, first digit is 5/9 to be odd. When first digit is odd,
second digit now is 5/9 to be even given it's distinct.
First digit is 4/9 to be even, and when first digit is even, second digit is 4/9 to be even.

Given that it is distinct, probability of being even is (5/9)^2*(4/9)^2 = 41/81
(41/81)*81 = 41. 41 2-digit numbers are even and distinct.

3 digits, 72% are distinct given any first 2 distinct digits.

First digit is 5/9 to be odd. Given this, 2nd digit is 4/9 to be odd. Given this, 3rd digit is 5/8 to be even
First digit is 5/9 to be odd. Given this, 2nd digit is 5/9 to be even. Given this, 3rd digit is 4/8 to be even
First digit is 4/9 to be even. Given this, 2nd digit is 5/9 to be odd. Given this, 3rd digit is 4/8 to be even
First digit is 4/9 to be even. Given this, 2nd digit is 4/9 to be even. Given this, 3rd digit is 3/8 to be even

Given that the 3 digit number is distinct, it is (5/9)(4/9)(5/8) + (5/9)(5/9)(4/8) + (4/9)(5/9)(4/8) + (4/9)(4/9)(3/8) = 41/81

(41/81)*648 = 328

4+41+328 = 373 positive integers less than 1000 are distinct and even.
