Unfortunately it can be all 3, I've been on all 3 roads and 2 of them are not pretty, specially when you start to prioritize poker over you other daily responsibilities or family, or when you start gambling more money than you cant afford to lose.

I've never reached rock bottom, but I have to admit that i've fallen bad. I don't even want to imagine how bad it gets for people who actually play this for a living.

Nowadays it's just a hobby, I only play to win some extra money. I definitely can now live without poker. But when I started many years ago, it was an obsession, probably there were periods that was an addiction.

Poker is a source of income for me. I know a lot of players (including some in our Community) who play poker more for fun than for money. It's harder for me to play against these players because they're more aggressive and unpredictable.
