Which poker game do you like more than hold'em or omaha?

I play poker for only 8 months. And I prefer the classic NL Hold'em.

There is a reason why no limit hold'em is the most popular, and that is why I prefer it. Although it's fun to play any of the other games including Omaha or horse. But hold'em is the first choice.

I find Three Card Brag a load of fun when playing live - never had the chance to play it online but I can't imagine it being anywhere near as fun online anyway, cos having a good poker face / being able to see through your opponents' poker faces is fairly essential when playing 3 Card Brag. P.S. I know it's not, strictly speaking, a variety of poker, cos you make a three-card hand rather than a five-card hand. But they call it "a very simple form of poker" at the very start of the Director's Cut of Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, so that's my loophole!

I don't get Omaha. It reduces the probability to know the hand. Even theoretically. But increases the variance.

Hi the ALL! Since I'm play a long time, I tried the all kinds of Poker,
to understand, that more fit for me, first of all, and so say for the common
development... At the present time NL Holdem is remain a basic, of course,
but also I'm very like to play in the mix games, as HORSE and 8-Game,
when have the opportunities. In these games me like, that the brains need
every time switch and adjust under new kind of Poker: very useful for the head!

I love both Omaha and holdem. But I like holdem a little more because it has big dispersion. But Omaha is a more profitable game if you take cash games.

I like most forms of poker. For obvious reason I play mostly NLHE but I enjoy most variants. I love to play mixed games whenever I can, but as several people have said already it can be difficult to find tables going since mixed games are not too popular these days. 8-Game mix (or more, you can sometimes find 11-Game mix too) is great fun. Badugi, 2-7 Single or Triple Draw, 7-Card Stud Hi-lo... all fun games.

Something I am kind of sad about is the demise (more or less) of Fixed Limit Hold'em. Just a few years ago this was by far my most successful game in terms of BB/h. Then my regular site was revamped, and after that the FLHE games there were dead. Only place it seems to run now is on PokerStars, which is fine, but I wish there would be some Limit Hold'em running on softer sites too.

Omaha is my favorite Gamez especially H/L.

Now, after Omaha and Holden, I'd say Razz is my favorite. I find it quite fun. Shame it isn't easy finding razz tables or tournaments.

I really NL 2-7 single draw. It was almost the Main Event game. The only information you have is how many cards they others have drawn. There are a couple of standard probibilty things that, if you know them, you can use to GREAT advantage, especially in position, or if you have some background on opponant's syple of play.

The disadvantage of omaha poker versus Texas Holdem Poker is that in the first the number of combinations that can be reached on the table is much greater than in the second, which makes the calculation of the probability that a given player can take A concrete hand is much more complicated. I like texas better. it's more strategic
