interesting piece of news today...just 2 weeks ago, a friend of mine requested a cashout by check from tilt (4figures). check comes in the other week, he deposits it as he always did before. 5 days ago he gets an email from tilt support telling him not to deposit/cash that check. sure enough the check subsequently bounced. it was issued by wells fargo bank.

I seriously think in the end, all aspects of online poker will be legal. As to when this will happen, only time will tell. The attempts of prohibition of online poker is just as ridiculous as the prohibition of alcohol was. The outlaw of alcohol didn't work and neither will the outlaw of online poker. I just hope congress pulls their head out of their !@# before these governmental actions get too out of hand...

You are kidding right?

Finnish Poker ban perhaps soon a reality

The Netherlands is one of the countries which are confronted with increasing adversity on the part of the European Commission in regards to the UIGEA-like stance it has taken towards online poker and gambling. The problems started with the letter that Justice Minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin sent to a number of financial institutions demanding that they prevent funds-transfer between Dutch citizens and foreign online gambling and poker operations.

I think perhaps you are being a little selective there. Apart from the fact that Norway, Finland and Denmark are Scandinavian countries, the first one of your links that I read included this link:

http://www.pokerpages.com/poker-new...-go-to-court-says-charlie-mccreevy--30005.htm

which explains that most of the countries have a state-run gambling monopoly which they are trying to protect, and that the EU will take legal action if necessary to enforce freedom of movement for services between different member states. So it is not the same as the US where your fascist government have decided that you shouldn't be "the land of the free" any longer.

I heard some idiot talking head on Faux News yesterday trying to convince me that the gov't did this to "protect the children".

What a crock of crap!!!!!

Let parents protect their own children by paying attention to them for a change. Stop passing laws that adversly affect everyone when there is a simple fix to the problem. Or, if you want to pass a law, pass one that puts the parents in jail for not taking an active role in their kids lives and let their kids run wild and do whatever they want to do.

Don't punish us because of some lazy absentee parents and wild children who don't have any boundaries.

I have acct w/ e-wallet, don't use that much as they are kinda high on there withdraw @ 10 percent, I also use E-Checks which seems best. Those large banks, 4 i think are blocking transactions. Hopefully if you use a smaller bank they might not f--k with you. Haven't ever had a problem w/ my acct. hope it last!!

I've been on a "break" dealing with family issues, haven't played in 3 weeks and come back to this load of bull! Un-frigging-real!

I just went on to the PPA website, I didn't see an update, maybe I missed it. Does anyone know if a date has been set in NY for this case? Or if there is an injunction or something simliar place waiting to be heard to try and temporarily turn this around until the actual case is heard?
