Making money is not the main purpose . Pleasure of poker is the the basic aim.
You only get pleasure from poker when you win money. And all slogans like yours are hypocrisy.

Can anyone tell me some good poker books for online poker
there are tons of books out there. studying a lot is good starting with the 30-day cardschat course. but dont get illusions, poker is very hard to make a living at.

I'm not familiar with poker books, but I recommend actively participating in the CardsChat forum to learn more about playing poker. There are many teachings passed down here in this poker entertainment community.

here in the library you have a book you can read. on the other for and that is how I have learned is to play tournaments with a higher buy-in than you usually play, previously I played $1.10 buy-in tournaments and one day I played a $5.50 buy-in tournament and there the level is rougher and you have to stick to the rules and you learn to develop some experience. You will see how when you return to the $1.10 tables you will be a little better.

Learning poker theory by reading books is excellent. If you manage to survive the game over time, it explains why you do a lot of the things you end up doing intuitively. Playing while reading a book is something I would personally add. I'm more of a "look before you leap" kind of guy, and while it has served me well thus far.I believe I read way too much and should have started playing at really low levels early. You must learn how to handle ups and downs so that you don't become overly ecstatic when you win a pot or depressed when you lose. The key is to play the odds.

no, money is a consequence, if you want to play poker it has to be because you like it.

Wow, impressive how everybody adviced him to not read books and just play or watch videos... that´s insane, studying means READING books not watch videos, u must take time to go into intricated concepts, watching just videos make u numb. IMO

unfortunately, books are not very helpful anymore, because poker keeps getting updated every year, watch videos, educational materials, even better get a good trainer (BBZ, RYE).

The only way to learn poker is by playing, online and live so you can learn people's signs in live poker. Online you can learn by making notes on players, so reading books I wouldn't say is enough. By experience you will improve your game, best way is play alot is the best way to learn. Even playing play chips at first to learn, once you feel you have learned enough then you can for money. I don't play poker to make tons of money , I play cause I love the excitement of poker. It's nice winning alot of tournaments to make money , but it's a pation for the game for me.
