In my opinion, poker is a game of chance and I don't think poker will ever be recognized as an Olympic sport. Although, like in sports, patience, discipline, and luck are also important in poker, but nevertheless, it is obvious to me that poker is just a game of chance :)

Maybe in one special Olympics with other think and brain games, but not in standard Olympic games.

I don't think it has a place in the Olympics.
For me, the Olympic Games always mean performance related to physical movement. And poker is a mental game, which maximum means movement of your fingers...

No. Poker requires phd's, sometimes. 😳🥺🤪 Olympics are for sports, anyway. Poker is it's own thing, imo. It belongs right where it is, in the hands of everyone who wants to play it.

Poker has received status under review by the Olympic Commission. The good news is that poker is in good hands. Patrick Nally, a world-class sports marketing specialist, took up its promotion, I think poker will be approved in 3-4 years.

wsop Main event is proxy for Olympics in Poker world. Winning a bracelet is winning a medal.

Variance is a big part of poker. So it's a game where skill advantage gets reflected in result over long term.

No, because even though 90% of poker is strategy, 10% is still luck, poker is a game for relaxing, not competing.

Poker is not a sport but is a game. There are far more worthy contenders for a place at the Olympics that are not currently competing that are considered sports.

I think definitely not, especially in the near future. Poker itself has not yet been fully recognized as a sport, and it seems to me that there is no talk of the Olympics. It is simply considered gambling, addictive and with the potential to lose a lot of money

I think poker doesn't need the Olympics, and the Olympics would be great without poker.

Not in my opinion. I don't consider it a sport.

Even if I did, I think there's too much variance. I like to think that Olympic champion of a sport is the best, or at least one of the very best. In poker, players can have lucky tournaments. Having said that, golf is at the Olympics and results can vary a lot from tournament to tournament with that too.

I also like the idea that the Olympics should be the pinnacle of a sport, the one that everyone wants to win more than anything else. It's true of athletics (track and field), swimming, weightlifting, amateur boxing, gymnastics, rowing, track cycling and some more, but not all the sports that are there to be fair. Everyone would still rather win the WSOP main event if poker was at the Olympics even it would be fun.
