Smoking and poker

I think poker is a sport, so there´s no sense in playing while smoking in live events. But also in online playing, then it depends on the player if he/she likes to, so let it be.

When you are playing online poker you can do whatever it is that 'floats your boat' because you are by yourself. Playing live poker is something different altogether because you have to be conscious of the players around you so you shouldn't do anything that will offend or possibly cause injury or harm to others. So no smoking at the live tables.

Cigarettes are addictive and give momentary pleasure, they are complicated. But it takes away your health and mental capacity.
I suggest you never smoke.

By international poker law, smoking is prohibited in any live gaming room. I don't know if this answers your question.

For me, there is only poker. I do not smoke and I advise everyone not to smoke, it is very harmful to your health

i find its odd to have a smoke in any kind of public indoor activity , if i do light up - i feel being kind of rude even when its allowed

I only drink and play poker. I go for smoke breaks and refills once it is break. I dont smoke in house at all.

it's up to everyone to smoke or not to smoke. just Smoking distracts from the game and prevents you from concentrating if you seriously decided to show the best game.

i been smoking fora long time and while i would like to smoke at the table if my smoking causes someone else to be uncomfortable then i would not smoke. i would inconvience myself for the greater good of the cause. take it for the team so to speak

Does smoking pot or cig's have anything to do with poker? It comes down to this do you care more about smoking weed or tobacco than you people your playing with! Should we be able to draw up lines of cocaine on the table in-between hands?

Pretty much any poker room I have ever been in does not allow it in the room, you must get up and go outside the room to smoke. As a smoker I have no issue with this, I try to respect others who do not like the smell or smoke in their faces. Even as a smoker I probaly would not enjoy sitting at a poker table that allowed smoking.

I quit smoking with a vape, smoking is bad
and vape quit because it's expensive

I quit cigarettes years ago, and now like to vape when I play poker, the two go together very well! I still think about the good old days at Casino Rama smoking, drinking and playing the slots.. Those were the days!
