Discipline, bankroll management, skill and math
Money, Money, Money, what else is there. Be the best in the world but if you do not make money what is the point. Who cares how, luck or skill it all comes down to what is in your pocket.yogo9 said:What are the skills/abilities and knowledge that are most important for being a winning poker player?

I feel you! Poker's my jam too, and you're right, it's more than just luck. You gotta be sharp at reading your opponents, have some killer strategyRonanPERNA said:I play poker mostly as a hobby, but a successful player requires solid skills in reading opponents, strategy and bankroll management. You must have the ability to make decisions under pressure. And patience, a lot of patience.![]()
I think skills are more important for a successful player. And I would also add statistics here. We are not insured against failure, and luck is a nice bonus in case of our mistakes, it's like a second chance at success. But the ability to not make mistakes based on individual statistics for each player is, I think, the key to success in serious tournaments.yogo9 said:What are the skills/abilities and knowledge that are most important for being a winning poker player?
