I'm not a big fan of folding Kings Preflop, especially in a tournament, but if ever there was a time, this is it!

Honestly, Beth Shaks All-In Hi-Di-Ho hands would probably have been enough.

Yup, it's an old one. I was looking for videos of hands where people were chewing gum to see if it was a reliable bluff tell when I came across this one. more telling than the gum was the rediculous Jazz Hands she gave when she anounced All-In. I think I might have ditched my Kings right there and then. The table talk between Hellmouth and Shak while Richie was still in the hand was way out of bounds. Horrible call on him even with Kings.

In many situations I've gone all in with KK pre-flop, when another player comes all in pre-flop, I first analyze the opponent and most of the time I also bet.

The more poker you play, the more bad beats you see and go through. It comes with playing poker, there's no way to avoid it. Whether it's AA versus KK or KK getting cracked by AK, if you play a high enough volume of poker you will eventually go through one of these heartbreaking situations that will crush your soul. Only the ones who are resilient will continue playing poker. Survival of the fittest ( emotionally also).

It's difficult to fold such a strong hand preflop to be honest. I've been in spots where I've call an all in with Kings knowing that my opponent has Aces, sometimes you just know that you are beat here but still you put the money in

This play is a classic...

The funny thing is that whenever I fold KK, like in a multi-way pot or very close to the money, I regret it, and when I call, I'm almost always ahead and end up losing to Ax and/or smaller pairs! hahaha

I think this might be one of those regret free cases.

The truth is that it is very difficult to retire on a par, I think there is no turning back in the position as well. Tournament is being played where in the tournament is it going if you are short of chips I already think there is only one decision

A lot depends on how you analyzed your opponent's game! How big the tournament is. There are situations where you can fold kings preflop... but it depends on the opponent.

It's hard to imagine a situation where I would fold a hand with KK, maybe in a bubble with a very large prize pool.

I remember watching long time ago, one of those online poker and a guy was close to ITM and he fold AA preflop, explaining, he wanted to be ITM.
I understand that, but, I would not fold them, not AA, KK or QQ, may be JJ since those JJ are the least favorite to me,

Folding Kings preflop, one of those questions that separates theoretically correct from emotionally survivable poker

That’s a great text book example to take a leaf out of while playing with Kings!
Others going all-in pre-flop will always give the Kings a tinge of fear and negativity moving forward!
Very easy to say than getting it done though!

Wild spot. I was going to say I don't think you can ever fold KK because you're going to get ran over in every spot but there was so much information being given out at the table I think folding KK was a fairly straight forward decision They SHOULD probably have at least AK, KK and QQ in their range too but when they both grandstand like that one (or both, probably both) have AA because how are both of them ever doing that with less. Plus I can understand going into your head and thinking about the math more if your opponent is sitting there like a GTO bump on the log but the girl looks over at her husband who throws up "A A" with his hands lol like mate, "everything you do at the poker table conveys information" how are you missing the gang signs villains spouse is throwing up in an attempt to confirm what she has WHILE she was looking at him. Not to mention just the decorum breakdown as the hand progresses with Phil the Princess hooting and hollering while he would be having a jammer if someone did the same when he was in that spot.

I came in to the thread thinking it would have to be a pretty extreme spot to get me to fold KK and I'm a pretty big nit but I think the circus around this hand makes the threshold to throw the cowboys in to da muckk.

In situations with strong evidence (from bet sizes, play patterns, stack sizes, or the opponent’s range) that suggest almost with certainty that the opponent has AA (a pair of aces), sometimes you can fold them to avoid a very unfavorable situation — but this is still very rare and requires reads or exceptional context.

Never! Just in case you don't have to take risks, such as you have the ICM for guaranteed classification on a satellite or prize.

On huge ICM or on the satellites it's easier to fold it. Even the Aces too.
