Who else in your household understands poker?

Are you the only one in your household who plays poker or do you have other people in your family who also play and understand the sport?

My family plays poker(mostly NLHE), but also a few other card games as a "family activity"- we did/ do for generations... of course no money is involved and at least from what I know lol, I'm the only one that plays it for real money(both live/ online), to try to make some extra money as the cost of living in my country- from what I see online, pretty much everywhere around the World- is getting more and more expensive.. sigh...

PS. I don't really consider poker as sport, but also IMO it's not entirely gambling either- to make a short description: a game of chance where skill is a huge factor in you being successful...

I'm really the only one. My father knows the rules and we occasionally play heads-up poker with play chips for conversation and time together, but they aren't really a poker "player" if that makes sense. They play, but not a player. You regs out there know what I mean.

Yeah, I’m the only one who actually plays. My wife just pops in to check how it’s going, if I’m winning, she stays for the “good vibes,” but if I’m losing, she suddenly remembers something important to do elsewhere 😄

Everyone in my family has played, usually together as a family. It's pretty easy to understand, but none of us considers it a "sport".

In addition to me, my daughter plays poker. But lately, she doesn't like it. So, I'm the only one playing in the family. It's neither good nor bad. However, sometimes I wish I could share my successes and failures with someone, but unfortunately, there's no one to do so.

We played poker nearly every sunday, when my father was alive. He enjoined poker as a family and competitive game. This is not a tragedy post or something like that. But the funny thing is, i often thought my father just likes putting chips in the middle and doesn't really take it serious. Many times i wonderered why he was the winning player. Now, after many years i respect that style and the importance of aggression. My other family members know my approach to the game and accept it, but we don't play anymore.
