If you have been investigating the same CC online tournaments for some time, you should know that the tournament lasts about 3.5 hours. I am also often in a hurry. But you can't be ahead of time!

From your nickname and the way you play, we can assume that you are quite anxious!

Patience is the key in poker, there is no way around it if you want to improve!

You need to find ways to distract yourself while playing... (well... it works for me, to take your mind off the game, at least when making simple decisions).

Playing multiple games should also help you to get less bored.

I haven't played live poker for many years but I think if I tried to play nowadays, I would die of boredom.

Try doing other activities during your session like studying, watching gossip, the news, playing puzzles... It works for me, maybe it can work for you!
Yup that works I've tried it once and won cuz I instantly folded and was not trying to be creative or think a lot about making decisions the more I focus the more I get into trouble

The tournament will not end sooner just because you want it to go quicker... so having more patience, will it damage you or help you with poker and all the other things in life?

Add more tables at same time so that you invest more time thinking about your plays. If a tournament takes like 3 to 4 hours to you to reach a FT, do not be anxious and play your best then you can reach there.

I took more than some years to be able to reach like 2 to 3 FTs in the same day and patience is key to it!

Think about it: the time will pass the same way, whether you are patient or not...

Patience is not just a nice to have in poker. It is essential. The game rewards discipline and long term thinking, not impulsiveness. Multi tabling can definitely help you stay engaged and focused, especially during the slower phases. And you are right. Time passes the same either way, so it is better to spend it making quality decisions than rushing and regretting them.

Just playing silver freeroll only has 52 entries still there's people sitting around folding feels like they ain't even trying which is boring me to the core I'm trying to get them play me and ended up from 1st with 80k chips with over 50k chip lead to 5th with 5k chips lol I just hate longer formats mostly into hyper how to build that patience? They know I'm trying to rush
Hi :)
So, when players play tight, it's bad. When players play all in a row, it's fun. I think the question is that you just chose the wrong freeroll for yourself :)

Good players won't get it in bad easily, so you just have to be patient.
I also struggle with that waiting game.

You had half of all the chips, 5 players were left and those 5 players folded and took away all your chips because you were bored

it doesn't make any sense

While playing online the problem is pretty easy to resolve: just add more tables. Doesn't matter if you play MTT or cash, just keep adding tables until you stop feeling bored. You could also observe and make notes about players behaviors while you are not participating. It's quite alot of work, depending of how many details you are willing to note.

Good players simply make fewer mistakes and try to play with the best hand.

Good players don’t give much away — fewer mistakes, tighter ranges, and less action. It’s like playing chess instead of a wild card game. Tough, but it makes you better.
