Are women or men better at poker?

Good morning everyone.

In my opinion, men have a slight advantage in poker, but it is not such a big difference. If there were the same number of women and men playing poker, I still believe men would have a small advantage. This is because, in general, games seem to be more present in male culture. In Brazil, for example, it is common to see men showing more interest in games in general, such as video games, arcade games, and card games.

This does not mean in any way that men are more intelligent than women. In my view, it is more a matter of affinity or interest in this type of activity. Many men end up developing skills related to games, strategy, and competition from an early age.

There are also excellent female poker players. There are women who are very good at the game and compete at a high level. However, in my opinion, they still do not consistently compete head-to-head with the very best players in the world. If we take, for example, the 10 best female poker players and compare them with the 10 best male players, I believe that, overall, the men would have the advantage.

Something similar happens in chess. It is a game that involves intelligence, logical reasoning, calculation, and a lot of dedication. In addition, it is important to have talent and develop specific skills for the game. Therefore, in my view, men end up having a slight advantage in competitive games such as poker and chess.

There is no evidence that one sex is better at poker.
The visible difference is mainly due to participation, culture, and environment.
When women reach the highest levels, their performance is just as competitive.

Does gender really have something to do with who is better in poker?

If anything women have the upper hand because men fall over themselves when faced with attractive ladies,other then that everything equal

I think it's still men. At least more of them play poker than women.

I would say men because alot more men play but women would be dangerous if more of them played.. none of the current “pros” or past “pros” women have been very good but that doesn’t mean they aren’t out there

The gender does not matter in my opinion. Men or women can do just as well as anyone. The main reason Men are ranked so much better than the ladies is 96% of the players are men. Personally some of the best players i have meet were female.
