My poker, i play almost every day I participating in a tournament, but this I do not believe is a vice, some say it is a waste of time, if so, then you have no aspirations to grow in poker, everything you give priority in your life can bring dividends in the future, be it in family, at work and with friends, nothing of your experience is lost, think about it.

I think if you make money and you get to live by poker it s not really an addiction... its like calling your job an adiction :thumbdown: The meaning of adiction is a negative one .. so you cant be addicted to poker just by being harmfull to you (loosing money, waste to much time and dont focus on other parts of your life) . I agree with you, if you win you get a monthly salary and then you can live then it becomes work

my point of view about this is that if there are people who become addicted and there are also people who make a habit, for me the addict can not be without playing, if you take away the game it gets bad and it's a habit when you play a league or cash tournament or another game at a certain time of your day because you like to do it at that time or that tournament or the competition of that league but it does not bother you to lose that game and your life is still normal.
Now if you do everything possible to not lose a game or if you run out of money and do not know how to get it to play I think you are in trouble and should seek professional help

If you’re playing because you love the game and you’re goal is to become the best player you can then you’re less likely to be imo.

I think “addictive” is a word used by people to define a habit or substance that is detrimental to them. If poker is causing you problems and you’re losing all of your money, then yes you may be addicted. However, if it is something you love and you’re learning and treating it is a sport, then I don’t think you are “addicted”.
