You can play slow when few or few opponents are left pre flop

I am changing my strategy on AA. I used to do the three bet thing and would loose more often then win, even worse if I slow played them. From now on, I am all in with AA.

Never slowplay pocket aces. This is a bad idea. Of course, you shouldn't go all-in right away, but you need to bet quite a lot on each street.

Never slow play any premium hand.
I was in the BB in a large live tournament and there was a player in late position who limped in. I called with 7,4 off suit. Flop came 7, 4, x.
I check called 3 times ,including all in after the river and doubled up. He had slow played aces.
A good raise or 3 bet will give you an idea of what a villain has.

Usually

I usually will slow play AA

I want to try and build the pot some
and I want to see the flop before committing more money

If I hit trips it's time to boost the pot

If a pair comes on the table, it's a caution situation
someone usually will have hit trips

Then there's the "sleeper" hands,
pocket pairs and two pair that hit on the flop

And there's always the River to knock you down
when you've had the upper hand through the Flop and Turn

You can never tell if your Aces are going to get cracked,
so I tend to play them cautiously

How often (%) would you slow play Aces?
I often find that whenever I raise the standard (3x) I usually get a fold back to me..
I started slow playing them more often but I notice that people catch on to it..
What is your opinion on this matter, CC?

I do 2x pattern with all hands. And I'm not in favor of slowplaying premium hands, except when I already have the nuts, that the board doesn't favor the opponent's range at all and that I'm going to fold a lot if I bet, and the only way to extract is to let the villain to bluff or hit any kind of value.

i often slowplay them because often when i have AA or KK and raise everybody autofolds . like wtf

but often it gets me in trouble slowplaying them . in my opinion slowplaying aces or kings needs a lot of caution and you should rather play them aggressively in general ....but not TOO aggressive either

An unraised big blind is the most dangerous hand in hold 'em because the player could have anything. If you slow play aces you have to be prepared to fold if you get a bad flop.

He sometimes has to slow play strong hands, but often this is punished and opponents have better sense cards on the river.
I wouldn't play Slow Aces.

I usually raise or 3-bet with Aces, but I might change my style from time to time and depending on the table ans situation.

If the table is very tight, it makes sense to slowplay aces preflop, but it is usually bad to slowplay it postflop unless you flop a monster hand such as a top set.

I think it´s difficult to play aces slow, you have allways the problem to fold such a strong starthand postflop, even the board is running out bad.

I had an A5 preflop today. Three more aces came out on the flop. I played with a pause. But the "turn" and "river" were weak cards and the 2 opponents were not aggressive. That's why I couldn't win a lot on the handout.

I just had a beautiful example happening today with Slowplay of Aces:
MP limps in. All fold to BB.

No bet on flop or turn. River pairs the board with 3s. BB bets, MP just calls and looses to trips.

I was thinking:
Is that guy afraid of winning some chips? 🤣

I think Slowplay is quite dangerous as the Aces rarely make a better hand postflop.

Although I also doubt the big opens like +3BBs are clever since everyone will fold.

I usually min-raise with the Aces and hope for 1 or 2 callers.

But no big slowplay on Postflop for me. Just make standard bets and hope someone collected top pair. That's when the fun kicks in. 😎
