I'm looking for some advice on what stakes I should be playing online with regards to my bankroll.

There are plenty of tips here in the forum (use the search function/magnifying glass) as also on the internet.
Google may be your friend.
I also advise you most tips have an aggressive approach to beat a Limit (lets say 25BI ($2) for NL 2 Cash game non Zoom/fastfold variants, meaning $50).
But most people have problems with such a small safety net when they are 10 BI down, leaving only 15 BI.
Take these given BI and make them 2 or 3 times bigger lets say $100 for cash games on NL2.
If you proceed through the stakes add one multiplier for each two steps in the micro stakes and add one multiplier for each mid stakes step.
Stay strict in the rules of going down the stake. This is very important.
For tournament players double the amount of buy ins for micro stakes to 200 Buy ins for going up in stake. For mid stakes triple it to 300 buy ins.
Also don´t buy in for more than 1% of your bankroll for tournaments. Lets say you have $200 BR you can play one $2 or 2 $1 tournament.
If you see others like Wistern (Youtube videos) in his $100 to $1k challenge, you have to take into consideration he is a long term pro and knows what he is doing. And always strict rules for going down in Buy in leveles.

Think of playing poker like a life long marathon, patience is the key.

Hey there,
practice setting aside a specific amount of money for gambling and using it responsibly to manage risk and extend your playing time. It's crucial to treat your bankroll as "a Business" separate from your essential budget, and to use a small percentage of it. Typically 1% or even lower up to you. I highly recommend to check out the typical longrun variance for your game types. For some hyper games, even 400 Buy-Ins are recommended.
This sounds conservative, but helps protect your capital during inevitable losing streaks.

Have a nice weekend,
Natox

That’s a great topic to bring up, especially since bankroll management is one of the hardest skills to master in poker. I think most players underestimate how much discipline it really takes to stay within good bankroll rules — especially when you’re on a downswing or just had a deep run and feel tempted to move up too fast.

For me, I’ve found that being conservative with bankroll management helps a lot in the long term. For tournaments, I usually prefer having at least 300 buy-ins for my average stake, and I move down immediately if I drop below a comfort threshold. It’s not exciting, but it keeps me in the game without stress.

Poker really is a long marathon, not a sprint. Staying patient and protecting your bankroll gives you the freedom to make better decisions and avoid emotional swings.
