Which Do You Prefer AK or JJ?

Pocket jacks over AK any day. I have had better luck with jacks overall but jacks are much easier to play in my opinion. Its also a made hand. While AK is nice if you miss you have nothing and yes if the flop is A, K or Q and you will need to play carefully at least you have a pair no matter what.

JJ any day of the week. Starting hand made makes it a lot easier.

If it is just me and another person(online) then I would want to take jj over ak. Although you will lose against ak alot but overall you want to take the made hand rather than a draw where you have to hit to win. My two cents.

10 years ago, I would have taken AK over JJ because of my own experiences when playing Jacks. But, I've come to realize that over time, JJ is the more profitable hand than AK, but I try and think of it completely different. To me, it's about maximizing your win rate with each hand so that when you are dealt each hand in its own situation, you can play them accordingly.

So for me, I like each hand equally in any situation.

Generally I would prefer the AK, but it depends from the case. There are cases where the couple JJ would be better because of the poor results, from all the players of the table, at that time of the game.

I like pockets alot better because every1 in the hand has an ace in my opinion. I love ak but pocket jacks us 1 of my favorites definitely. Good luck.

I would typically prefer to have JJ over AKo but then again would prefer to have AKs over pocket jacks. JJ appears to be way more profitable for the way I play them since I seem to be less committed with them.

Of course JJ. I block a straight for my opponent, and he still needs to make a pair, and I already have a ready one, my probability of winning preflop is higher and therefore I have such a choice.
