Yeah it's the approach that has always made sense to me if one can make that schedule fit their real life of course. Personally it's the schedule I try to keep but running your own business means I'm call 24/7 and 365 days a year it doesn't always work out me but it does 90% of the time.Houbi37 said:That’s a smart approach.
Weekends are prime time for MTT players — bigger fields, bigger GTDs, and often softer lineups. If you’ve got the time to commit to a long session, that’s definitely when the value is.
And switching to a couple of cash tables during the week makes perfect sense. Cash gives you flexibility — you can jump in, play focused, and leave whenever you need to without being locked into a 6–8 hour grind.
It’s all about matching the format to your schedule.
Cheers and good luck at the tables! 🍀
I honestly don't enjoy playing cash near as much even if it is where I likely make the majority of my profits. I mostly play because I love and enjoy the challenge on longer blinds(10+ min) and larger field MTT's. Cash just helps me smooth out the MTT variance which is just terrible and being only a rec/hobby player I'd struggle to beat that variance because I can't play the volume needed to over come it. So I play cash during the week instead. I don't mind the 6-8 grind of longer blind MTT's as I love the challenge and honestly the longer the session when it comes to cash the better I do but yeah they're and the longer sessions aren't for everyone.
Matching ones schedule with games and formats that are beatable is certainly one of the keys to being a winning long term player. Best of luck to you too at the tables.
Cheers!!!
