Can tight only player make money?

Can a player whose only strategy is playing tight starting hands make money in the long run?

I know there is a lot of strategy involved and as a newbie, I may not be able to beat all the experienced players post-flop. If I just stick to playing tight pre-flop can I expect to make consistent money?

Any style can win money, sticking with one style will cost you money. Smart player has many styles in there play book, adjust according to your opponents.

I think playing loose sometimes helps, only cause it is harder to read on you. There are all sorts of different players and some things work different others that might not work for them.
