On the streets of Los Angeles , buddy... I refined my game by playing private house games , where All-In was an every hand thing lol. Now that I'm getting towards the time when I'll be able to play Pro Poker Tourney's. I've been stepping my game up like crazy.... Also hoping to utilize the Sexton name to help catch some attention (And sponsers!) ;-)

I first started playing poker 7 card stud when I was about 4 with my dad and uncles so I have been told. In jr high high school I graduated to strip poker with many more girls than guys at the table lol In my early 20's I had the priveledge of going to vegas where my uncle worked as set up electrical stages and shows for big name shows. He inroduced me to Johnny Moss. I learned a great deal from the poker room manager Hall of fame poker player. I dealt poker for nearly 8 yrs and ran the floor for about 6 months. Since dealing made me more $$ i went back to it. And I continue to learn everytime I sit down at a table or a monitor.........Rock

A few years ago, I joined pokerroom, and started playing their play money sngs.. I didn't know what sng stood for, but I knew the object of the fast fillup.. LOL.. I did not know that a flush beat a straight then, or a straight beat 3 of a kind.. I was pretty clueless like that for about 6 months. Then I found out some of my friends from Yahoo played poker, thats when I got interested in getting better. I started reading articles whenever I could, and joined more poker sites. I've only been playing real money since Spring 2005, and I currently play 6+ hours a day, mostly buyin mtts, or PLOHL ring tables.. once or twice a week a freeroll (when I'm feeling like fishing.)

Casino ot me interested

I wasn't aware of texas hold'em and omaha until I worked at a casino I was a slot attendant. I worked there for about a year. anyways I was sitting in the break room bored out my mind then one of te dealers asked me if I wanted to join in a card game called Big 2 so we played and played then I started to beat him more than he beat me so he suggested a game called hold em I was curious so he tought me the ropes and beat on me for about a month until I discovered it was on T.V. so I watched and listened it was then it hit me its not all cards its people too. One of the comercials showed pokerstars the net one so I learned most of the begginner stuff there then my dad got involved too and he said if I make it to the final table in a tourney with over 2000 people involved he'd pay my buy-in to the Calgary Stampede poker touney the next year. ( did'nt happen yet) I showed him a free roll where I placed forth out 695 people he did'nt buy it. So I'am on the quest to the final table in every tourney I enter right now I am averaging the final 4 tables. Thats what brought me here to learn more tricks tips and legits. oh yeah I learned omaha at pokerstars too mostly play hi/lo cause of the odds and stuff.

I am 21 and this was when I was 18 sorry didnt know where to fit this in. ( damn I should have paid attention in English class)

I learned to play poker by entering a freeroll..was the first time I had ever played holdem. I played as a kid with my dad, 5 card draw, 7 card stud.
Well I was just messing around, and my boyfriend noticed there were only 13 players left an I had a huge chip stack..from playing like a wacko. He coached me the rest of the way and I took 1st for $25. I couldn't believe it. I was playing people that knew how to play, well I figured this is the game for me. Needless to say I have learned to play much tighter than one that first day. And not found tourneys so easy to win. But I do ok

Right on VSparky, hopefully you aren't being coached on the sidelines these days. And just remember there are more forms of poker then just tight aggressive, but the best way to start out learning...Either way I'll be on the look out for you at the tables at events to come. :eating:

I learned during my first semester at college (second semester now.) My friends and I play pretty frequently, like 5 dollar tournament games. I started to play online around winter break, where I quickly lost a good amount of money. Since then I've read a couple books, and tried to gain some more experience online and live (too bad I'm not old enough to hit the casinos.)
